Lion Heart Nursery

I was looking for a kitten for my family and a coworker told me about Lion Heart Nursery and Laura Burmood and the amazing work she does fostering and bottle feeding babies who have no mama and nowhere else to go. I have lived in the Salem/Keizer area for 20+ years and have never heard of Lion Heart Nursery, but I am SO glad I did and was put into contact with Laura. We adopted the most adorable little floof in the world!! The second I saw this adorable, fluffy little cream/brown/black/tortie/siamese baby with bright blue eyes and a big round belly I just knew I had to bring her home!! And after being interviewed and after Laura got to know me and my family, we were lucky enough to be the chosen family to adopt our sweet Rue! We got to bring her home as an 8 week old tiny baby, and now she is a big 6 month old girl! She immediately bonded with our other kitten, Junie, and our entire family. Rue is the most hilarious, loving, beautiful cat I have ever had…and I’ve had super special cats my entire life… but something about Rue is just different and she is just extra special. She purrs just because I walk into the room, she climbs into your lap and purrs any chance she gets, she comes to be next to you if you are having a bad day or not feeling well, she has so so much love to give and boy she loves her snuggles and belly and face rubs! Everything about Rue is hilarious…from the way she sits and lays (like a human, literally) to the way she plays and her curiosity, to her personality in general… she makes our family laugh every single day!! She has brought so much joy to my life and to our entire family. Rue would not be here today if it was not for Lion Heart Nursery and the tireless, selfless work they do to keep these babies not only alive, but healthy and thriving. My family and I are forever grateful to Lion Heart Nursery and to Laura Burmood for saving Rue’s life and for choosing us to be her forever family. She truly is the most special baby ever.
