I am making a donation in memory of a good friend that was a Director of Special Needs. He was the director of our State Support team. This gift to Lindsey's Place is to be used for the children with special needs. Brad had a true heart for children that needed educational help, representation, or just giving his advise of how to better serve the children.
This is my gift to my administrator, who had a unique friendship with Brad. He was her educational advisor, co-worker, and a special friend that made him a special member of her family.
Brad will be forever in our hearts. What a wonderful way to remember Brad!
My Daughter Nykiah was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at birth and unable to walk. We heard about Lindsey's Place through one of the Nurses that help care for "Lindsey" Hart (the young Lady for whom this awesome place bears the name). We put in the application to attend but, could not afford the entire cost. Being that Lindsey's Place promises not to turn down a Camper, my daughter was able to attend! This was her first time in 10yrs ever being away from us for an extended period and especially overnight. We were nervous but quickly became "at ease" when we got our first phone call from Nykiah expressing how much fun she was having!!! It was such a joy to hear her laugh and talk about all the people (Friends) she was meeting and all the Games she was playing! She did things she'd never done before! She felt FREE and was elated to have a place where everyone is jus like her! No one to judge or stare, just plain happiness and love! I would and do recommend Lindsey's Place to everyone I know who has a child with a disability. Nykah has attended the Camp 3 times since then and each time it gets better and better!! She looks forward to "her time away" from her Twin Sister
I have been involved with two events with Lindsey's Place in the past year. You can tell from all of the hard work and devotion of the board members and volunteers that this is an amazing group of people. I will not hesitate to volunteer my time to this organization again. I know that the time and energy we spend that every bit of it goes to help a child's life.
Lindsey's Place is like nothing else in this area. It provides a camping experience for children and young adults. The things I like the most are that the people involved really care about this organization and the campers. Also, the organization isn't limited to just one type of disability. It is open to people with all different types of disabilities.
It’s so great to finally have a place in the southeast area that affords children and young adults with disabilities a place where they can have fun and enjoy a camping experience like so many other non-disabled individuals. Lindsey’s Place allows young people with all types of disabilities, to engage in camp-like activities that they would normally miss out on. They do so many fun things during camp– they sing, dance, play games, draw, paint, and make new friends. Life can be so challenging and hard for these children a daily basis. If you’re ever fortunate enough to see the faces of these special young people light up while at camp, it’s something that you will never forget. Lindsey’s Place is a wonderful organization. It’s definitely a special place for very special people.

This retreat was the most amazing weekend I have had ever. I am totally visually impaired and Lindsey's Place gave me a great place to just be a young person without feeling like I have a disability. I met some inspiring fellow campers and some very caring staff. I am looking forward to returning for another weekend.
Lindsey's Place was founded by wonderful people who put smiles on the faces of children and adults with special needs. It is an inspiration to watch the volunteers interact with the campers and provide them with an unforgettable experience.
My 20 year old grandchild has attended Lindsey's Place weekend retreat twice now and has moved to a new level of being without Mom and Dad being there through the night. The staff is well trained and the venues have been great, especially the one just held in Savannah. I was able to enjoy my weekend and sleep without any concerns for her well being.
I know the person who inspired this camp and how much she benefitted from attending one "up north" before. I hope everyone will support it with their gifts and time as something that is unique and much needed in our area run by top notch people solely dedicated to improving the quality of life of adults with disabilities.
Linsays place is a wonderful camp for people with disabilities.
Everyone at linsays place are dedicated to provide a fun, positive experience to the campers.

Lindsey's Place is amazing! Every child deserves to feel like they belong and are loved for who they are. Lindsey's Place does that and so much more. Thank you Lindsey's Place!

Lindseys Place is a fantastic initiative for disabled youth. Well done to all those who make it happen.
I have worked with young people with Special Needs for 15 years. I cannot stress enough the importance that Lindsey's Place holds for the lives of these individuals. Organisations for able bodied young people are readilly avaliable and those with Special Needs can be overlooked. I understand that this is especially the case in the South East where Lindsey's Place is.
At Lindsey's PLace individuals can experience a wide range of activities adapted to their needs, they can socialze, make friends and most importantly feel valued and equal to any other. Such experiences can stay with them for a lifetime, enhancing general quality of life by raising confidence and self esteem.
It is also important to comment on the benefit this organisation has for the families of these young people, providing much needed respite and comfort in the knowledge that their child or sibling is being cared for so well.
Lyndsey's place began as a vision and that vision is now a reality. I hope that they are able to continue and grow.
