Limau cancer connection is a versatile orgamization giving care and hope to cancer warriors, caretakers and their families. You get all sorts of specialists, oncologists, nutritionists and counsellors through the organization.

The shock of a cancer diagnosis threatened to plunge me into depression but the chance encounter with Limau saved me at the most important stage of my treatment. The kindness of the founder and the people I met through Limau have held my hand through the process and I'm forever grateful to them

My sister was suffering from cancer. I got massive information and social support from the Limau Cancer Connection. It kept her going. When cancer strikes, nothing matters to the warrior than having a large family which provides material and psycho social support & therapy when you are at your lowest. Limau provided all that. The group has offered so much solace and valuable information on cancer management. It is also a source of hope for so many cancer patients. Limau has been instrumental in my growth as a carer for loved ones with cancer. Support I have got there has been holistic and constant. We have thus not walked alone, because Limau has been with us every step of the way.

In 2019, my mum was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. I was lost. Then I met Limau cancer Connection. They took us through the journey, learnt where to get help, doctors to see, where to get meds at cheaper rate, nutrition. The list is endless.

I joined Limau cancer connection ⁰ after I lost my breast to cancer they gave me a booby and I became part of them we've been kneeting boobies for donations we bring back self-esteem after donating a booby cuz no woman should work without a Boobie

I was diagnosed of Breast cancer on 28/12/2018.A sister introduced me to Nancy of Limau who connected me to other cancer worrior's where I got
1. Company of worriors in the same flock
2.Contacts of good hospitals and doctors
3. Encouragement plus wealth of information on nutrition, side effects, expectations, realif from anxiety etc.
4. I'm able to access and share the little I have, be it financial or spiritual to less fortunate.
5. Wellness coaches and consultants to assist when need arises
6. I got where to get bras and prosthesis etc
Generaly the forum is very rich in information and sometimes offer financial assistance to cancer patients and may God expand it.

Limau is the best thing that happened to people battling cancer. The psychosocial support they get goes along way in their healing. There is so much support in Limau,individuals get a support system that holds their hand through out the journey and makes the journey easier. The work being done by Limau is amazing and many lives are being touched.

I met Nancy during a TV talk on Cancer and we connected. I loved the work she was doing in Limau and as a mental health professional I was amazed at the psychosocial support offered to individuals by Limau. I decided to join the organization and offer my services.

I first heard of it from a member in whatsapp group her name is Tsonia who has a son that is battling cancer. She explained how the centre has been supportive emotionally to her family in the difficult journey, and she's grateful that they have helped keep the hope alive.

A breast cancer Warrior currently on remission. Limau offers a great platform for people affected directly or indirectly by Cancer.

I do Palliative care at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital and we have ladies who have been done mastectomy. Limau donated about 76 breast prosthesis which we have already given to about 50 ladies.
This noble deed improved self esteem and quality of life of these ladies

My name is Irene Wambugu. My Sister Leah Mwagoh and myself are caregivers to my mom, who was diagnosed with Breast cancer in May 2019. At first we were shocked to learn about the disease and sought opinions from 2 different doctors. My sister's friend recommended Limau to her and Nancy added her to the group. Later my sister asked Nancy to add me......and i cant explain just how much Limau has been a blessing in our journey with mum. We learned so much because there are counsellors in the group, nutritionists, and generally everyone encourages each other all the time. My favorite nutritionist is Tina. Because of limau we have accessed a lot of resources including educational resources eg nutritional guide. We now give mum a lot of cassava, and her uji has cassava and moringa flours......she takes lemon water everyday to alkalize her body, and we do green juicing for her everyday....all courtesy of Limau. ThroughLimau, we got to know ofan awesome oncologist Dr. Siwillis, and Kijabe....God bless the nurses and doctors there. Chemotherapy in hospitals in Nairobi are very expensive, but NHIF convered our costs substantially������������
Mum now completed Chemo and Radio and she is back home, living her noral life. We are truly grateful to God for the journey we have walked with Nancy and Limau. God bless all the Limauians������������

Limau cancer connections has made it possible for many to link up with necessary services and advocating for patients rights which is what i also volunteer for but exceptionally benefit more from what i have learned: an experience from the non profit.

I learned about the organisation from a friend. At that particular moment I was very stressed and unhappy about the treatment of a friend who had cancer. I was helpless and didn't know what to do or even where to start. After I joined the group, I met good doctors, care givers and even other patients. It felt like I had acquired an encyclopedia. The vast knowledge and experience I got made me the best care giver to my friend. I am happy that limau gave me the best time taking care of my friend and she enjoyed the group more than me. We laughed about everything even when in pain we squeezed lemons and made lemonade. She loved the fact that she could relate with fellow patients and be open about her feelings without being judged. Limau was God sent and I look forward to their dream of building low cost hospitals for cancer patients.

Africa is marginalized. This non profit goes over and beyond in helping those that have been seemingly forgotten. I celebrate them

Limau does noble work to the community. It brings awareness of best practices to keep cancer at bay, and should you be affected by cancer, it is a place whereby you are given psychosocial support and you get connected to other people on the same journey as you.
