A member of my family is here and has informed me of how poor the treatment is here. All patients are required to sign up for an EBT Card and half of the money is taken from the card each month. Being this is a private business they should not be using rehab patients to make money from the state. Meetings without anyone to teach so they all sit and chat for the hour and leave. Most of the rehab trainers are current patients that are finished their rehab and have no formal training or degree. They give the accountability check (head count) to the patients to do, so the manager can play games on his phone. This place needs to be investigated.

Mission: First step of sarasota, inc. Prevents and treats alcohol and drug addictions and associated disorders. We foster fully functioning, productive individuals by offering a full array of services in partnership with our community.
Programs: Detox - this is a medically supervised program designed to ensure that the individuals go through the physical and emotional crisis of withdrawal from alcohol and drugs safely.
outpatient - first step outpatient services include psycho-social assessment; individualized treatment plan development and program orientation (intake); individual therapy; group therapy; family therapy; and urinalysis testing. Services are available to adolescents and adults and level of intensity is determined at assessment.
pathways - 28-day and extended recovery programs are designed to help substance abusing individuals establish a firm foundation in the recovery process. Clients learn new recovery skills, receive relapse prevention training and counseling services supplied by a clinical team trained and skilled in the latest science-based techniques. Individual, group and family counseling, combined with psycho-educational presentations and strong connections to the 12-step community provides clients with a "best practices" approach to overcoming addictive disorders.
choices and crossroads - these are florida department of correction programs for substance abusing probationers in need of stabilization and controlled reintegration into the community. Seasons, transitions, mothers and infants, and viper - these residential programs provide substance abuse counseling to varying individuals throughout the treatment process. Royal palm apartments - these apartments provide sober transitional housing to graduates of local substance abuse programs.
