The staff was disrespectful and wouldn't let me be in there to see my newborn child on the monitor and help my future wife with any questions. They let her in and made me and my mom sit in the waiting room. Worst experience here and will not return here ever again!!!! I feel so heartbroken about this situation because of their attitude towards me.

Mission: CRISIS PREGNANCY COUNSELING AND SUPPORT
Geographic areas served: Bergen & Passaic County
Programs: In 2014 at its hawthorne and hackensack centers, lighthouse provided free, life-enhancing services to 1,143 women, men and teens facing unplanned pregnancies and related concerns through 4,295 face-to-face appointments. Over 500 pregnancy tests and 509 ultrasounds were performed to provide medical confirmation of pregnancy. Many pregnant women and couples also received options education and prenatal or parenting education at the center. Over 230 babies were born to women and men served by lighthouse and several hundred of the moms and dads coming for ongoing parenting support or relationship counseling received material aid, including diapers, wipes, formula, baby clothing, and at times a car seat and portable crib. Male counselors provided support for new fathers, and many programs for new moms were also offered in spanish. Post-abortion recovery groups and individual peer counseling sessions to help individuals heal from a past abortion were provided to more than 65 women and men. Std testing, also offered free of charge, was provided to 42 individuals, along with sexual health information. Presentations in local schools and churches to discuss healthy relationships and sexual integrity reached nearly 3000 students outside of the centers. Over 600 individuals received confidential assistance through a telephone/email helpline.
