Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts Education
Mission: To provide artistic education without curricular limits supporting the creative process of each student in a cultural environment unique in puerto rico.
Programs: Our organization is compromised with the education of visual arts and to the support of those engaged in these activities. For more than forty-nine years, we have been a communal space for cultural and artistic individuals and organizations where they have displayed their proposals for the benefit of old san juan as well as to the whole island of puerto rico. Three exhibit rooms and our school comprise our facilities located in old san juan. The primary objective is the development and instructional process of the arts such as painting, drawing, sculpture, engraving, pottery and photography, among others, to children, youth and adults. We actually provide a space for interchanging ideas through our approximately fifty-six courses, attracting the professional population and developing jobs to our local art professors. We have also open new courses in goldsmith, stained-glass window and history of the arts. Scholarships are available for those talented students with scarce economical resources. 2,263 persons were served during year ended june 30, 2017 and approximately 3,000 have been impacted through our exhibits and activities held during the same period.
