The experience i had at Lifesmart was amazing. There was a direct connection with the kids you were helping so you truly felt a part of the process and also saw the help you were providing. I've always been passionate about financial education so this nonprofit was a perfect fit for me. I loved taking on projects for new initiatives and taking the reins on some of the work we were doing. Additionally, i was able to land my next job through another volunteer! I will always be grateful for my time at lifesmart.
Originally, I joined LifeSmart Education as a volunteer to gain specific experience and skills to prepare me for a career transition. I had never worked with a non-profit before and was eager to learn all I could. First, I learned so much. LifeSmart really let me dive in the deep end and get hands-on experience doing recruiting, strategic management, and much more. Patricia (the founder) was always encouraging and I felt that I could come to hear with any questions or suggestions. I stayed with LifeSmart because I loved the people. You will not find a more dedicated team who truly are passionate about their mission. Volunteering with LifeSmart gave me opportunities to grow professionally and personally, to meet incredible people, and most importantly a way to positively impact the lives of the children in underserved communities.
Lifesmart Education's ultimate goal is to purposefully and strategically prepare and empower elementary, middle school, and high school students with the most essential tools they need to succeed in this world by providing stellar mentoring and tutoring professionals who are passionate about teaching, ileading and being role models. They also work diligently at keeping programs available for students to participate in to further broaden their global experiences and knowledge. Being a part of this organization and accomplish these types of goals is more than rewarding, it's an honor .
It was a great experience volunteering at LifeSmart, Keith Richardson was an awesome supervisor, taught me a lot about grant writing and outreach, experiences that I am still holding onto to this day. Would highly recommend anyone volunteer with LifeSmart!
I really enjoyed working with LifeSmart Education. I wanted an opportunity to give back to the community as well as learn more about writing grants. Keith was very helpful and explained to me how to write the pieces that were needed. I gained quite a bit of knowledge, while helping LifeSmart Education at the same time. I would definitely suggest someone volunteer at LifeSmart.
I enjoyed my volunteer experience working for a team of passionate individuals. They were very flexible with my schedule and I loved that I could work remotely. I gained a lot of knowledge doing a variety of assignments and they made sure you were comfortable with every task. Highly recommend!
Volunteering at LifeSmart taught me a great deal and gave me an opportunity to give towards a cause I was truly passionate about - providing quality education to young children. At LifeSmart, there is always a role to fill and no matter how small, each role was important. The schedule there was flexible and I received a lot of support from Patricia and all the team leaders I worked with. Overall, it was a great learning experience that I would gladly do again.

Joining LifeSmart Education has granted me the opportunity to learn about work with non-profits. Patricia has given me access to processes and procedures, expanding my knowledge. I am happy to be helping with multiple events and programs, such as Financial Literacy and the Japanese Summit. The Board of Directors has also been helpful in sharing their knowledge and expertise. I started volunteer with LifeSmart Education about four months ago. Patricia is passionate and devote, every volunteer is dedicated and involved. I loved my experience with LifeSmart Education, I love my peers and feel like I can really make a difference in children's lives. I've also grown as professional and as a person through my time at LifeSmart Education.
