Programs: Organ recovery services: on-site referral response to hospitals, donor family support, evaluation of patient's suitability for donation, management of the donor's care from death declaration through organ recovery. Placement of organs, coordination of recovery teams' transportation to and from donor hospital, surgical recovery and transportation of organs and organ preservation. Lifecenter northwest facilitated a toal of 246 organ donors in 2017. Family services: approaches families to obtain authorization for donation and offers on-site hospital and/or phone support to grieving families throughout the donation process.

tissue recovery services: evaluation of potential donors, coordination of recovery teams' transportation to and from donor hospital, surgical recovery of tissue, coordination with tissue processors to provide recovered tissue for processing and distribution. Lifecenter northwest facilitated a toal of 533 tissue donors in 2017.

hospital development: work in close collaboration with lifecenter northwest's 200+ partner hospitals to maximize donation opportunities across the region, provide ongoing education for hospital staff regarding organ and tissue donation guidelines and procedures to ensure that potential donors are consistently recognized and referred, help hospitals stay in compliance with federal regulations.

community relations: focused on educating our communities about organ, eye, and tissue donation. The public awareness programs include dmv-based outreach and training, traffic education curriculum, and presentations to schools and civic groups. Also includes grief support provided to families through a minimum 18 month aftercare program, which includes personal phone calls, letters, counseling referrals and any additional resources specific to the needs of the family. Also includes planning and execution of events and celebrations to celebrate donation in our communities.
