LEAF and Lifespan, IO are powerhouse advocacy groups which seek to fund aging reversal research through social media outreach. They have lots of posts every day on various social media outlets. Lifespan, IO has successfully funded many scientific research projects, raising for each tens of thousands of dollars. Traditionally, updated medicine and research on aging has been given a backseat in the mainstream media. This is rapidly changing, and LEAF has a lot to do with that success. The aging rejuvenation biotech field is rapidly coming into focus, and advocacy groups like LEAF and Lifespan, IO are helping to get us there. I strongly recommend donations to and praise for LEAF and Lifespan, IO!
A great team doing very important work.
I regularly check their informative website and also follow them on discord.
If you have any interest in fighting the diseases of aging, - and you do! - cos that's most of them. Then you need champions like these doing to work they do.
Keep it up!
LEAF are what is needed right now to spread awareness to people and to educate people that aging is a solvable problem and a problem that can be solved in our lifetimes. We need to get the message out and to encourage governments and wealthy people to support this vital goal. With the right amount of support we can end the suffering of millions and save lives in the process.
I think LEAF is doing a good job of trying to educate the public about the problem of aging. They are trying to hasten the defeat of aging every day for us all. They are working on the worlds most important problem of all time, aging costs more money in the last year of there life than there whole life put together. More people need to donate to projects like lifespan.io so the end of aging can come sooner for everyone. The devastation aging does to people is very tragic and we need to put a stop to this horrible problem as soon as possible.
Great org and I visit their website often to check out the latest biotech news and see what fundraising projects are running. Their work in advocacy, education, news and fundraising moonshot projects makes them my #1 choice when I have a bit of spare cash to donate to a good scientific cause.
LEAF as a charity is one of the most important organizations around at the moment, with the notable exception of the SENS Research Foundation (though donating to LEAF will always aid SENS, and vice-versa)
The way things are headed, not only is the loss of life from aging impossible to really comprehend, but so too is the economic damage - with the world's population aging, we're approaching a global catastrophe if organizations such as LEAF fail.
As a university student wishing to go into this area of research, I heard that LEAF was understaffed and leapt right in. It has been amazing so far - the experience with Public Engagement is valuable (and apparently will be particularly useful for starting a Master's Degree), and the board members are friendly and everpresent. I have a feeling that the connections they have will be valuable for me once I finally finish my studies, as well.
All in all, a great nonprofit, both to donate to, study science from and volunteer for.
The Life Extension Advocacy Foundation is what we need to make a dream come true. When I first learned about research for rejuvenation biotechnologies, I was afraid it would turn out to be your typical research project: somebody somewhere is working on it, but you'll never hear about it again. I was wrong: LEAF stepped in and became pretty much the advocacy engine room of the nascent rejuvenation biotechnology industry, the number one choice to find information on what's going on in the field of anti-ageing medicine and to find out how to help the cause. Not only LEAF helps to fund research and raise awareness, but it is a great way for the average Joe to help science conquer ageing.
Great organization with great people pioneering new therapies to extend healthy human lifespan by curing age related disease.
Dedicated to promoting and funding rejuvenation research.
LEAF are playing a vital role in the hastening of medical research pertaining to the illnesses of aging and I'm proud to support them.
lifespan.io is awesome. It has already funded many research projects in biogerontology, aimed to reverse the damages of aging. They are working on the most important problem in human history! Every dollar donated to them saves a life! 100.000 people die per day of aging (2/3 of all deaths), and if, for example, 36M dollars could near the date in which anti-aging therapies will arrive by 10 years, then with one dollar donated you can save one life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvWtSUdOWVI
You won't find more mission-oriented and committed volunteers and employees, focused on minimizing the time to the development of aging interventions, than the people LEAF. Day in and day out they provide top notch education to help people optimize and restore function threatened by the aging process. We are in a new world when it comes to increasing the healthy human lifespan with science, and LEAF are helping not only get the word out, but also save lives so they can live healthier, longer.
The Life Extension Advocacy Foundation has given me great hope for those alive today to benefit from rejuvenation therapy. They also provide good education for advocacy as well as address and answer concerns. It is a foundation that everyone should donate, advocate and volunteer for.
