Mission: The life enrichment trust will ensure that every consumer and family has a financial plan that ensures asset protection, preservation of services eligibility and reserves resources for those needs throughout their lifetime.
Programs: The organization's three largest program services at this time are pooled trust accounts, payback trust accounts, and third party funded trusts collectively referred to as supplemental needs trusts. Supplemental needs trusts preserves the assets and eligibility for federal and state supports for individuals with disabilities. Pooled trust accounts, which are the vast majority of life enrichment trust accounts, are required to be established and maintained by non-profit organizations. Payback trusts, are generally used for funds received from personal injury or medical malpractice lawsuits. Third party funded trusts are used when individuals, usually parents, want to bequeath funds to a son or daughter with disabilities. The life enrichment trust also provides guardianship and representative payee services to individuals with disabilities. In the future, the life enrichment trust will expand its services to family members with a planning document that considers both governmental supports and privately funded services.
