Our son is a proud resident of the LEO family and enjoying supported independence with his mates in the NancyWhitaker house in Snoqualmie. This organization has had such great impact on these extraordinary young people as well as given peace of mind to their families. The caregiver Claire, is professional, patient loving and kind. She ( and her husband Frank and children) have created a family within a family. We are blessed and hope that more families have the opportunity that we have been granted for our son. Life Enrichment Options Options is the gold standard!
Life Enrichment Options (LEO) is an impactful organization which positively impacts the lives of people with mental disabilities and their families. I have worked with the loving members of the LEO board….and in every way , they are 100% committed to the well-being of the residents who reside in their homes. They are exceedingly careful with the donations they procure and the way they spend the donations. They are truly stewards of the gifts they’ve been given by their benefactors.
The most impactful experience I’ve had with LEO is my interactions with the residents of the homes. Baseball games, Special Olympics, car derby’s, theater plays, and just visiting…it is abundantly clear that LEO has provided these adults a platform to grow, bloom, interact, and gain a solid sense of self and independence.
My life is personally enriched by LEO and I am committed to support LEO for years to come. It is a joy to collaborate with people associated with LEO…people who not only talk the talk, but they walk the walk.

LEO is a wonderful organization with a time tested track record of providing, housing, recreation and parent education for people with i/DD in their community.
The Life Enrichment Options (LEO) Organization is an Issaquah based nonprofit that is supported by many caring supporters in the community and unpaid volunteers, including everyone on the LEO Board and on LEO Committees.
As the parent of a son with a disability, I feel very fortunate that my son is now living a more independent and happy life in a LEO Adult Family Home. His care provider is fantastic and having the other residents as friends has greatly improve his mental health. Every parent of every resident feels the same as I do.
I joined the LEO Board a few years ago to continue the mission of "Creating Homes and Enriching Lives for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.”
There is a massive need for more housing like this across the nation.
