I am a privileged member and volunteer at Grace Life Church, serving in various capacities throughout the years including the Youth, our life groups, our worship team, and some construction. My wife and I choose to give our time, skills, and finances to this organization because of the results and fruit we have witnessed and experienced over the years. I have been with Grace Life as they have pressed on diligently through several moves and overcome various obstacles, and the outcomes are a demonstration of tried and true principles that healthy things grow and break-thoughs happen when we do the right things again and again over time. This leadership team runs this organization with an amazing combination of heart (love for everyone), mind (wise systematic/process-oriented decisions), and soul (passion to give and serve generously). Over time, I have developed a sincere trust for the church pastors and leadership, as I have served along side them and seen them stand in the gap and make sacrifices. Overall, it is the people that really make an organization, and these people are those who have challenged me to believe and expect greater things in my own life, in my community, and in other people. It is this expectation that makes this organizations people do amazing things with whatever it has, big or small.
Review from The Pittsburgh Foundation
Grace Life church is a life giving - young and vibrant non-denominational church in the Eastern Suburbs of Pittsburgh. Pastored by Buck and Amy Schafer, GLC is becoming the place to worship and grow for young families, and young adults. The youth program, pastored by Brady and Rachel Herron, has given teenagers a place to be safe and loved, and have fun too.! GLC just opened a fully certified Day Care center, and has children's programs and child care available.
But the primary vision of GLC is to take the love of God to the Nations and around the world. Pastor Buck has written the curriculum and oversees 60 bible schools in Egypt, Spain, Germany - Honduras and Central America. The church is currently upgrading equipment to stream LIVE video to the nations via the world wild web. It could be a dangerous time to spread the gospel of Christ in the Middle East, so the "live video" feed will touch thousands of people.
I love my church - I am so proud to be a member of Grace Life Church in Monroeville PA. People are finding hope and getting help so they can live a life with purpose and joy!
I work on missions and with various GLC women's organization to assist the needy.
thank you
