Mission: Dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients and their families. Work with local community and nonprofit organizations to help patients and their families tackle the complexities of life with cancer and prevent new cases of the disease from developing.
Programs: Life beyond cancer retreatprovided to female cancer survivors, oncology nurses, and social workers to encourage health, wellness, and advocacy to help other cancer patients. 135 recipients of workshops, and retreat.
grantsprovides grants to other non-profit organizations that support cancer patients through financial assistance, survivorship, prevention and outreach. There were 183 recipients of financial aid.
program developmenttravel to and meet with cancer organizations and treatment centers to discuss and develop programs to benefit cancer patients. At the conclusion of the visits to those treatment centers, lbcf established the providers for survivors network (pfsn). The providers for survivors network, located in communities throughout the united states, is comprised of dedicated healthcare professionals specifically committed to providing the best cancer treatment and survivor care. These medical and radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, social workers and navigators have demonstrated the commitment to provide state-of-the-art programs, retreats and patient assistant services to their community survivors.
