I love this farm! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, it feels like a big family ❤ I like playing with the farm cats and giving the piggies belly rubs when I see them. I want to be a veterinarian so being here gives me some experience with taking care of farm animals

Liberty Haven Farm is an amazing animal sanctuary! The horses, goats, sheep, cows, chickens and more are living their best lives, and the Farm offers riding lessons, educational lessons for schools and groups, and animal therapy. They also have fun parties and are very welcoming to the community. It’s a special place!
Liberty Haven Farm has been a life saver for not only countless animals, but also for Jackson Memorial High School's work based special education program; it is simply a wonderful place through and through.
As a special education teacher and Community Based Instruction program leader, it is not always easy to find businesses in our community willing to take in special needs students and give them the opportunity to gain valuable work based learning experiences. When recruiting locations I am often met with hesitation and closed doors. Not at Liberty Haven Farm. Carol and her crew of selfless volunteers go above and beyond to allow my student to improve their work ethic, self confidence and overall independence. We are given true responsibilities, and are shown appreciation that quite literally changes the lives of my students forever.
The love and humanity present at Liberty Haven is obvious upon entering the front gates. This nonprofit does so much good in so many different ways. It is truly a special and remarkable place that gives me, my staff, and my students hope for our entire community.

The special needs school that I work for runs a work program where students are brought out to job sites in the community (Liberty Haven Farm being one of them). Not only are the staff at the farm incredibly helpful, but they are a general pleasure to be around. The students love our weekly trips to the farm where they practice job skills and get a chance to see and interact with the animals. All in all, they are a fantastic nonprofit which does an exceptional job at providing for the animals in their care as well as offering great volunteer experience for those in the community.
I have been teaching riding lessons at Liberty Haven for almost 2 years. Over that time the farm has rescued many animals. Some underweight and some with trust issues among other things With all of the love, help and compassion these animals are happy and thriving!!
I started volunteering at Liberty Haven Farm about a year ago. Truth be told, I was hesitant at first but was "encouraged" to give it a try. I was in an auto accident which resulted in a brain injury, PTSD, anxiety, ....i think you get the point...i had some trauma. Although I love animals...I had a hard time talking to people. I explained my situation to Carol, the owner and she didn't blink at all. She just started showing me around then asked when I wanted to start. It was like I was family already! Being at the farm, I started talking to the animals. The longer i was there, the more they seem to look for me. It was as if talking to the animals encouraged me and gave me the confidence to talk to people a little more. I trust the animals with my secrets and feelings and give them unconditional love and in return they give me unconditional love, trust, and compassion. Then there's the actual people that volunteer and run the farm. They are a caring group of people who go out of their way for the welfare of any animal and love bringing smiles to people's faces. We all really are....what we call a "Farmly" ....I can honestly say that Liberty Haven Farm has changed my life!
What a wonderful farm! My daughter has been volunteering here weekly for several months now. She loves it! The care these animals receive is top notch.
I can’t say enough about this wonderful place! 5 stars isn’t enough! My adult special needs son started volunteering there this year. The owner Is the kindest and most compassionate person! My son looks forward to his two days a week there, and seeing all the animals! It is truly such a beautiful sanctuary run by the most amazing people!
The name says it all. This beautiful sanctuary is filled with so much love and devotion. The animals are nurtured and healed by the constant attention and care provided by Carol and her amazing volunteer staff. After a visit, one is filled with a sense of calm and ease. My toddler came along on my last trip, and being able to cradle a baby bunny in her lap, and watch goats hop around was one of the highlights of her young life. I can’t wait till she is old enough to take horse riding lessons. This is a truly special place, run by a devoted and gifted healer. We’re so lucky to be able to be able to visit!
A very special place, ran by the most caring and giving people. Farm life is not easy, hot days in the sun, freezing cold nights and everything else Mother Nature can toss in. But the voluntary's at LIBERTY HAVEN FARM are never are without a smile on their faces and love in their hearts. Sometimes your lucky enough to find a place that when you are there, feels like a breath of sunshine! Liberty Haven Farm has become “this place” for my family. As chaotic as life can get, when you are here around these beautiful animals, most of which were rescued from a predestined life of agony and death, it is easy to put the craziness of life aside, while allowing yourself to refocus and reset. This beautiful sanctuary Carol has created and so graciously shared with us all, is a gift beyond compare. We are forever grateful to have not only connected with these amazing animals but also with the amazing people who have made this all possible.

Liberty Haven Farm is a wonderful place. Carol provides rescued animals with a happy and loving home and takes great care of them. The rabbit and guinea pig sanctuary is my favorite and. The farm is such a positive part of our community for the animals of course but also for the people who volunteer there and the children who come there. We absolutely love this place!!
An amazing rescue for animals and people. My daughter has been coming and taking lessons for 3 years and tells me that it’s her “happy place”. Its clearly a “happy place” for children, adults and of course all of the animals that have been saved and are lucky enough to make this their forever home.
Liberty Haven is such an awesome place, they had me at rescued animals. My kids love to visit and pet the animals and visit with. Everyone is always soo nice and helpful! My daughter loves talking riding lessons with the girls here! And my boys just find out fascinating! We love liberty Haven!
Every time I go the people are so friendly. They care so much about the animals. I got a chance to hold a bunny, pet a cow and goats. It was an awesome experience. They are a perfect part of the community. The events are great too. The Sip and Paint was so fun! Definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.
We come to the farm every time we’re in the state. It’s such a welcoming place with such positive energy. My daughter (3) has been coming with me since she was an infant and she’s grown up with several of the animals - they are as much our family as our blood relations.

Liberty Haven Farm is the kind of place that warms your heart. Carol Taurosa is living her passion by gathering rescued animals of all kinds, saving them from certain death, and giving them a happy, caring home for the rest of their lives. These animals give their love to children of all ages--guests and volunteers--creating a supportive, creative and restorative environment for these people. All work at the farm, including all veterinary services provided for the animals, their feed and maintenance, are provided entirely by donations. What makes me so passionate to recommend Liberty Haven Farm is that ALL work associated with running of the Farm is donated by unpaid volunteers who give their time and efforts unselfishly to create the environment that fosters nurturing the souls of the animals, children and adults who are lucky enough to visit the Farm.
We went to a Christmas Fest at Liberty Haven Farm , and we had so much fun! My favorite part was that it was clear how much they love their animals. While we were there, we asked about horseback riding lessons and my daughter rides there weekly now. She looks forward to it every week and loves every second of it! Never overlook the chance for a child to bond with an animal, especially at Liberty Haven. They love their fur babies!

Liberty Haven Farm is like an oasis. When I visit I get a sense of peace and wellness. The animals are so loved and lovable and oftentimes funny. Especially Romeo, the donkey, who so reminds me of the donkey in Shrek! The staff (all volunteers) are so welcoming and helpful! They are always available to explain about the care of the animals and introduce me to a new "rescue". The latest rescue is Tito. A beautify honey colored pony. So sweet and gentile. I think the rescued animals (horses, ponies, donkeys, mini-horses, goats, rabbits, etc. acclimate and thrive at Liberty Haven Farm because of the constant love and attention.

I have been involved with Liberty Haven Farm since it's inception. As it was envisioned, It has become a place where animals and people become partners in helping each other. The help comes from the innocent love given by the animals and the attention Carol and the volunteers provide by grooming, feeding, etc. The farm is filled with laughter, excitement and a general feeling of happiness. The positive energy is generated from feelings of belonging, being needed and appreciated.
My daughter started taking riding lessons here over the summer and loves it. Everyone at the farm is friendly and helpful. The lessons teach her about the horses, how to care for and handle them along with English riding instruction. All of the animals are very well cared for.
LHF is truly an amazing farm! It is filled with love and hard working individuals. The pleasure one gets caring for these animals is unexplainable excitement. Carols vision of a dream has truly become a reality and I have the pleasure to be a part of it every day. These animals do more for me then I ever do for them, they are a true blessing

I recently started volunteering at Liberty Haven Farm. All of the volunteers that have been training me are so enthusiastic and helpful. I have heard about all the wonderful things the farm does for children and look forward to helping them along that path. The animals that they have saved are awesome and I love being around them.
Liberty Haven Farm is a beautiful place for animals and people. My daughter is in the Helping Hooves program and loves to be able to help care for the animals. Everyone that works there is very kind and positive. You can see the love they have for animals and its been truly wonderful to be a part of that.

I’ve had the opportunity to visit here on several occasions. Recently I brought my nieces here to visit and they absolutely loved helping with the animals. Carlie was so good with the and made them feel so special. They haven’t stopped talking about it. The volunteers here are just so wonderful and you can tell all the hard work and love they put into everything they do.
We were introduced to Liberty Haven Farm by a donation that has lead to a long lasting relationship. The family and volunteers are such kind and selfless people. Our daughter with sensory issues has begun to visit weekly and has had an amazingly positive impact on our family. This has been a truly rewarding nonprofit to support. It feels like a second home.
