Programs: Operation of hospital, clinics and other related facilities to educate, diagnose and provide care and treatment for persons who require hospital care. Lexington medical center is a 94 acute care bed hospital and serves as a satellite provider of wake forest baptist health specialty services including digestive health, ent head and neck surgery among others. Lexington medical center is accredited by the joint commission and has been committed to providing for the health care needs of davidson county since the 1920s. In addition, the medical center operates 17 physician practices. During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2017, the hospital had 9,379 patient days, including 3,115 inpatient admissions, and 37,362 emergency department visits.
