Causes: Community Improvement & Capacity Building
Mission: Our mission is to build a modern Lexington Lyceum and History Learning Center at the renovated Ellen Stone Building, honoring its rich history while exploring connections to contemporary social justice. In this renovated building, with its original second-floor lyceum, we envision creating an inclusive and intercultural space that will broaden our understanding of the history of Lexington, promote democracy and justice, bridge divisions, and strength community through the respectful exchange of ideas. Until the building is renovated, we are furthering our mission through modern lyceum programming (community conversations), community events and workshops, tours, and outreach.
