Mission: To fight climate change and energy poverty by providing safe solar lighting and solar programming to vulnerable off-grid individuals and communities in sub-Saharan Africa.
Results: 1.2 million people have access to improved health and safety in their homes and frontline health clinics. 80 health clinics have new solar electrical systems and are serving 1,040,000 people. 35,500 homes have safe solar lights. Program participants include children, new mothers, elders, and persons living with disabilities.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 12 frontline health clinics serving more than 140,000 people received solar systems in Uganda. 6,600 families with 35,000 family members received safe solar lights in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi and Rwanda.

Programs: our maternal and infant health project, Safe Births + Healthy Homes, through which frontline health clinics receive solar-electrification, the community is educated about the benefits of renewables, and all new moms who deliver their babies at the clinics are given a safe solar light with which to light their off-grid homes.
