Mission: The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Greater Cleveland Center of Greater Cleveland works toward a society free of homophobia and gender oppression by advancing the respect, dignity, and human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Programs: Community outreach-addresses health issues specific to the lgbt community and provides various agencies with info about hiv/aids, assistance for victims of discrimination & violence, civil protection & sensitivity training for local police forces, social service agencies & health care systems. Expenses do not include 1,820 of volunteer services
youth services-offers a drop-in space, support groups, and leadership development and opportunities for youth lgbt people. Youth hiv preventions program-"be sex smart" project provides hiv interventions with at-risk lgbt youth. It is adapted from street smart, a cdc approved debi social learning model that examines the relationship between one's perception that one can change behavior, and that this changed behavior produces beneficial results. Expenses do not include 6,669 worth of volunteer services.

Counseling services are free short-term counseling support for lgbt & questioning individuals and couples who meet income and other eligibility criteria. Support groups are facilitated by the interns and volunteers with support group experience. Weekly confidential hiv testing including pre and post test counseling is available for the community. Expenses do not include 15,560 worth of volunteer services.

"northeast ohio lgbt archives- in collaboration with the western reserve historical society, the northeast ohio lgbt archives program documents the achievements of lgbt people living in the western reserve area. "financial education- this program offers seminars and workshops to address the unique and specific financial needs of the lgbt community. "david bohnett's cyber center- desktop computers donated by the david bohnett foundation for patrons use. "youth hiv preventions program- the be sex smart program provides hiv interventions with at-risk lgbt youth. Be sex smart is adapted from street smart, a cdc approved debi social learning model that examines the relationship between one's perception that one can change behavior, and that this changed behavior produces beneficial results. The 10-session program improves assertiveness, social skills, negotiating abilities, coping mechanisms and reduce harmful behavior among youth.
