Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts Centers
Mission: The historic lensic - santa fe's performing arts center - enriches lives by bringing diverse art and people together. Through its accessible and affordable programming, the lensic presents and supports local and national artists and serves as a center for community, youth, and education events.
Target demographics: students, families, and arts lovers of all ages
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 11,000 schoolchildren to experience live theater. Our Community Sponsorship Program, which provides our facility for free or nominal fees to nonprofits for events (we provide technical, house, box office and marketing support), has helped 180 organizations raise $2.4 million to date.
Geographic areas served: Santa Fe, NM
Programs: dance, classical music, jazz, theater, Metropolitan Opera in HD, film, comedy, lectures, civic events, National Theatre in HD. We also provide our theater at low to no cost to other area arts organizations, civic groups and nonprofits and allow them to keep 100% of their ticket revenues.
