Mission: Lemur conservation foundation is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of the primates of madagascar through captive breeding, scientific research and education.

Direct beneficiaries per year: about 50 lemurs on our reserve, hundreds of schoolchildren in the U.S. and Madagascar, researchers and college/graduate school animal welfare/conservation students.

Programs: Lemur conservation habitat, training programs and field work. At the heart of LCF's efforts is the AZA-certified Myakka City, FL lemur reserve. The 130-acre campus is comprised of two large forested enclosures, two lemur shelters, a thriving lemur colony, guest houses for scientists and researchers, staff housing, and the Mianatra Center for Lemur Studies (including the Bladstrom Library). LCF also supports conservation efforts in Madagascar and conservation educational programs for students of all ages on the reserve and in Madagascar.
