I've been in love with automobiles since 1966 when I bought my first car at age 16. I started a modest collection around 1977. In 1980 I conceived a classic car and show at the Tacoma Dome. During the same time partners and I had purchased and begun renovation of the old Milwaukee Freighthouse now the Freighthouse Square for a classic car and limousine company. From there, we started a campaign to promote Tacoma's first car auction known as The Coastal Classic Car Show and Auction in the Tacoma Dome. I'm not an expert in any one genre. The Lemay museum has provided a phenomenal cross-section of amazing automobilia of all eras .d appreciate the Lemay museum for its great contribution to the automotive history. John Lewis
Being able to volunteer at America's Car Museum is one of my life's pleasures.
I have been a car nut my entire 70+ years, and find it wonderful to be surrounded by this piece of Automotive history while working my shifts at ACM.
Our Volunteer Coordinator makes us feel so appreciated and welcome, and is quick with a compliment or benefit just for us. We have had access to other Museums, Education programs and lectures. and a host of ACM gatherings for lunches and dinners together.
I have very little financial resources to help a nonprofit go along with it's contribution to the community, but I do have time.
I, like many of us in our retirement years, can't do an awful lot. But we can and will continue to do something.
Sincerely,
Kathe Frahm
