Mission: Legatus of portland is a local chapter of a national organization of the same name (legatus). Legatus is a membership organization. Members are top-ranking, catholic business leaders. Members are encouraged to become ambassadors for ethical and moral behavior in the business community and the world. Chapters gather monthly at a dinner meeting. Speakers with moral, ethical, and motivational messages are invited to make inspirational presentations. The mission of the national organization is adopted by the local chapters. This purpose is threefold - study: to match members with those possessing knowledge of the catholic faith, moral and ethical principles to educate the membership at regular meetings. Live: to assist members in translating the knowledge gained at meetings into their daily lives in practical ways.
