Mission: Legal services alabama is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to providing access to justice and quality civil legal assistance to educate and empower alabama's low-income community.
Programs: All legal service programs are mandated to provide legal assistance in non-criminal proceedings or matters to persons unable to afford those services, the elderly, or certain other special populations as specified by grantors. Legal services alabama has seven offices throughout the state of alabama available to serve clients. During 2017, 11,758 cases were opened, 11,280 cases were closed, and a total of 13,566 clients were served.
