Our oldest son has attended Forest Kindergarten and Adventurers at Learning Outside and we've found both programs to be a wonderful fit for him. He thrives in the outdoors and is constantly learning about nature, and ways to respectfully interact with the natural world. The programs provide an important balance of guidance and independence while enjoying the outdoors and has given our son such confidence in his ability to navigate the forests, creeks, trees and rock outcroppings that surround our house (not to mention his ability to identify helpful and hurtful plants!). Sun, rain or snow, he is always ready to get geared up and get outside! Our youngest son is currently in Forest Kindergarten and like our oldest, he loves the activities, animals, hikes, and instructors at Learning Outside. We value the opportunity to have our children attend Learning Outside and look forward to them attending a variety of programs as they get older.

Forest Kindergarten has been an incredible experience for my children. There has never been a day where they haven't been thrilled to join their peers and instructors for a morning full of exploration, creativity, and adventure. When asked what her favorite part of the morning was, my 5 year old always says "the hike"! Words cannot express how much this outdoor education means to us and our children! It is a truly a magical experience and opportunity to develop a deep love and respect for the natural world. The children learn resilience, tenacity, working with others to achieve a collective goal, relying on themselves and the collective when they need help - these are skills and qualities that will undoubtedly help them be better people and citizens throughout their lives. Thank you Learning Outside!!

In our culture, one rarely sees children freely playing and learning together outdoors. Resourcefulness and respect for nature and each other in the true byproduct of outdoor education. We're grateful for the opportunity to help fund this wonderful program for children.

We feel beyond blessed that our son has had the privilege of learning from the most amazing teachers at Learning Outside. They have completely nailed how to foster the most beautiful part of his being. From their dedicated and passionate instruction, he has gone from being a wee toddler to a true global citizen. He has grown into an even more compassionate person who is considerate of all life, regardless of size or species. We have infinite gratitude to Learning Outside and to all that makes their program so great. Thank you!

Our community is so lucky to have Learning Outside. With more early childhood programs focusing on academics, Learning Outside provides a wonderful opportunity for children to begin learning through play, exploration, and the outdoors. Additionally, Wendy and the entire Learning Outside staff clearly love what they do, and this passion is apparent not only to the children but also to parents like us.
