Have adopted 2 horses from them. Very friendly & knowledgeable rescue, that saves many horses at risk for slaughter.
I've never adopted from Leap of Faith. But, I have worked with them in rescuing horses from kill pens. They are dedicated to their mission. They work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of each horse that crosses their path. They've helped me place a couple horses I bailed from kill pens, going above and beyond to not only help me but to make sure the horses were matched with the right people; all with no expectation of anything in return. They certainly have a calling and take it very seriously. The passion they have for horses is beyond measure. They are honest and transparent. I highly recommend Leap of Faith.
Although I know of this rescue solely through Facebook, I donate regularly because of their transparency and the wonderful job that they do with the equines in their care. From start to finish. I'm certainly not alone, as they get rave reviews from everyone -- from the donors on the sidelines to the QTs, fosters and adopters.
Leap of Faith has made such a difference in the lives of the horses that are at risk in the terrible slaughter pipeline. I love that they take different tpyes of equines. Old, young, pregnant and get them ready for the next part of their journey.
I believe in rescue in giving these dear creatures a second chance. Leap of Faith is just that and adds a little miracle with it.
My daughter and I wanted to adopt a horse from a credible rescue and upon searching came across Leap of Faith. I called Selene who oversees the facility and found that she had many horses to choose from, all from different backgrounds, sizes and temperaments. She suggested that I go onto her face book page so we could see which horses would be suitable and had the personality we liked. We found two we wanted to meet and let Selene know and to send over the adoption form along with a permission of background check, I was more than happy to oblige, peace of mind is priceless. Everything was a go and when we arrived, we saw how big and beautiful her facility was and saw how she cared for each and every animal there. She greeted us happily and took us through the entire site naming every horse and what their likes and dislikes were. She asked questions along the way to see where my knowledge stood in terms of horse care including grooming, nutrition, vet/farrier/dental visits and worming schedules. She made us feel so at ease and we knew right then she was person we would adopt from. We then made our way to the two we wanted to be considered for and fell in love instantly. We took our time to let them get acquainted with us, fed them a treat a two and waited for them to give us the ok to come closer. Selene let us know the two we wanted were inseparable and that each had their encounter of bad times. She was always honest and made sure she didn't leave any detail out and that's another reason we chose her rescue. I'm happy to say, we adopted Walter and Mason who are two peas in a pod and are thrilled to come home to them every day. Selene was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process and always kept in contact. I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends and family and cannot thank her enough for everything she's done for us and them.
I have personally seen This non profit rescue many Saddlebreds in need from feedlots, provide a safe haven , meds, rehab and a loving home. They are excellent providers and can be totally trusted to do the right thing for a horse. They also have helped me in personal rescues of two horses and I believe in their cause.
My name is kelly i have been very blessed to see leap of faith s at its best work when they took in two horses from a feed lot that most wouldnt have givin a second glance at thinking these two were beyond help. The group went to work and got Walt and his buddy out of the feed lot and down to Georgia .They werent without struggles but these two florish under there care and were resently adopted.I have also witnessed there many fundraising efforts for horses.I myself have received a horse that was one of the last two to find a home..He was a difficult placement. He was aged at 18.he was really 20 .but still had a bit of spunk .but for some reason no one wanted him .I was really rooting for him and had commented on his page.Someone offered to pay his bail if Leap of faith would help find a worthy home .They called me i agreed. His name was Eli .We renamed him Talouse .This horse had a eating issue..and we went through the trying different things . he doesnt eat reg hay..i d try chopped.i think a malosses mix.soaked . this horse would shake his head no at me..he has such a personilty .It was alot of trail and error with him..He had trust issues..we worked through them..He follow s me in the pasture. The first time i gave him carrots i didnt think he d ever had one..his eyes lite up...i could go on and on but what i really want you to know is Selene and her group and the donor Saved a life of a great horse. And he is mine and i am his for as long as he choses. There are many other people and horses she and this rescue have helped And we are all forever Grateful God bless you Leap Of Faith..Kelly Patterson.
As a foster home for Leap of Faith, I have dealt with these ladies a number of times now. And they have always been wonderful to me, with the utmost concern for the well being of the horses in their care. I'm sharing some pictures of one of their horses I've been fostering so you can see the wonderful things they do. I 1000% recommend Leap of Faith to others looking for their next equine partner. :)
This group is amazing! Drama free and horses are so well cared for! If you are looking to adopt a new best friend, this group should be considered! First class operation!
Leap of Faith has been a blessing to our Home! We have fallen in Love with the Horses we have adopted thru this organization, I can literally say we have adopted Big, Small.and Different Color Horses with them! Selene is Very knowledgable and Helpful! Highly recommend adopting thru them.
I saved 2 feedlot ponies with a body score of 1 last year. This rescue has been there for me from the start helping me with our journey. They truly love the horses and have each and everyone's best interest at heart. I have also helped with bail on a horse for them because I know that each soul that is fortunate enough to be in their rescue will be blessed with the best care and love possible. I love the work they do!
