Causes: Leadership Development
Mission: The leadership oakland mission is to develop leadership skills, expose individuals to key issues impacting the region and enable participants to reach their full potential personally, professionally, and through public service in their communities.
Programs: Cornerstone program-9 month training (sept. -june) offers up to 55 participants opportunity to learn about all aspects of oakland county. Build a network with business and nonprofit organizations. Enhance leadership skills and become involved in community projects.
junior leadership -program designed for high school students to inform them of community issues and resources and increase appreciation of the opportunities to learn and work in southeast michigan.
alumni programs-after completion of cornerstone program, participants are considered to be a part of the alumni. Currently there are 1,000+ graduates who can participate in the on going education opportunities and community projects and events.
