Causes: Leadership Development
Mission: The organization's primary purpose is to develop a diverse corps of leaders for volunteer community service and the cultivation of shared responsibility in the region.
Programs: The community leadership series aims to enhance the community's future by expanding the skills of tomorrow's leaders through a nine month program. The 2016-2017 community leadership series graduated 45 business leaders.
the executive leadership series is a five session program designed to enhance the attendee's understanding of the region's activities, events and resources. The 2016 executive leadership series graduated 19 business leaders.
approximately 171 non profit leaders attend a half-day conference designed to help increase organization effectiveness and improve management practices.
community solutions and support services - these community outreach programs consist of management of annual team projects for nonprofit organizations; board member and volunteer referrals to nonprofit organizations and community groups; community presentations and workshop facilitation for nonprofit organizations, businesses, and community groups; publication and distribution of monthly newsletter; management of "eventsavvy" event planning website; presentation of the extra mile award; and strategic counseling and communiciations with nonprofit organizations, community groups and leadership harrisburg area alumni. Beyond leadership - this full day training teaches the essential of servant leadership, an original curriculum developed by leadership harrisburg area staff.
