We adopted our wonderful boy Lorenzo from the Lange Foundation and he was the highlight of our lives for the 17 years he was with us. A few years after we got him, I started volunteering at Lange and was there for about 10 years. It was the most rewarding experience of my life. I loved walking the dogs, spending time with them, letting them know that they are loved. And I also loved socializing the cats. There was one that was definitely a challenge, Mr. Gray. It took several months of just hanging out in the room with him before he decided it was OK to come a little closer. He would watch me with the other cats but kept his distance. Then one day he sat next to me, then right up against me, and eventually, he came up and sat in my lap! What a great day. Jillian Lange and the Lange Foundation do amazing work, especially with the seniors and those needing major medical attention. Kudos to all of the staff and volunteers who take such great care of the pups and kitties.

3 years ago I found Lange online & applied for one dog and when that dog was getting adopted they wrote me back to recommend a dog they had there that they thought based on my application would be perfect for me. It could not have been more the truth. I adopted that dog, Mo and he is absolutely my soul dog. They are super honest with every interested adopter about each of the dogs which I really respect because they want a perfect match for both. Their mission of rescuing dogs from shelters around LA and giving them care / surgery whatever it is they need is incredible. I’ve volunteered here and am hoping to again soon when I find the time again. The staff is so caring and sweet, it’s a wonderful place. I tell everyone to adopt from them and if I ever adopt another dog and or cat (which I will one day) there is no where else I’ll go. Would give them ten stars if I could!

The Lange Foundation is an incredible organization, and I don’t just say that because it’s where I found my fur baby! They save so many cats and dogs from the shelters who would otherwise be euthanized, and it’s so heartwarming to see them find forever homes. I’m so grateful for all the work the Lange Foundation does!

The Lange Foundation is the best. I have two cats that I adopted from Lange who bring me and my husband absolute joy.

The love and care the entire staff provides to the animals at their facility is beyond anything I’ve ever seen. They do anything and everything to make sure each and every animal is living their best life.

I am forever grateful to the Lange Foundation and will always support them.

I adopted my second cat here in 2020 and it was a seamless operation. I received guidance on how to introduce her to my resident cat and felt like I had support every step of the way. Lange Foundation has a great reputation and I feel like they lived up to it in my experience. Everyone was friendly and professional!

Lange Foundation is an amazing place if you’re looking to adopt or support rescued animals in LA. The staff truly care about each dog and cat, taking time to match them with the right families. The shelter itself is clean and comfortable, and you can tell the animals are well-loved and looked after.

My husband and I decided we were ready to be dog parents a few years ago. Neither of us had ever had a dog, so we did a lot of research and were recommended by friends to check out the Lange Foundation. We read the dog bios on their website and picked out a few we wanted to meet. When we arrived, the first few dogs on our list already had applications. But they had one new dog who had been surrendered to a city shelter that they had quickly scooped up. She was spayed, vaccinated, and ready to meet her forever family. As soon as we saw her, we knew this was our baby! After a thorough information intake, they scheduled a home visit to ensure our home was safe & dog-friendly. We appreciate the Lange Foundation's care in ensuring their dogs are well taken care of and are going to the right loving home before the adoption is finalized. Turnip has been an endless source of joy in our lives, and I feel so strongly about their noble work that I became a weekly volunteer walking the dogs and spending time with them until they find their forever homes.

I walk dogs once a week for the Lange Foundation, and they are seriously amazing. Watching them pull injured animals from county shelters who would have otherwise been euthanized, to deliver medical attention and care, and then see that the animals are safe and loved until adoption day is truly an amazing mission.

I was a Lange Foundation volunteer for about 15 years. My family has adopted 4 Lange dogs and 1 Lange cat. Everyone at Lange cares deeply for the welfare of the animals they take in. From Gillian Lange, the entire excellent staff, and the loyal volunteers the welfare of these precious animals is the most important thing. Excellent care and attention is given to every animal, and the staff takes great care in trying to find the perfect home for everyone. Once an animal is placed in a home they are available for advice and guidance to make sure everyone is happy and cared for.

Lange Foundation takes great care of the rescued animals in their care that are available for adoption in west L.A. and Canyon Country and the foundation also runs 2 great programs in Antelope Valley and San Bernardino that provide low cost spay neuter to cats and dogs.

This foundation is incredible! They are so loving, attentive and thoughtful with their rescues. I have experienced both their volunteer program and dog adoption process and you can tell this foundation wants the best for all involved. I adopted for a week a pup who ended up having severe health issues right away. Lange graciously covered the amounting vet bills and were so kind and supportive when I made the decision to not move forward with the adoption due to the special needs of the dog. They then placed him with his perfect adopter and it was all a happy ending. Everyone I have worked with and communicated with have been kind, considerate and true animal lovers. We love Lange!!

I love their hard work and passion for our furry-friends. I adopted two of my fur-babies from the Lang Foundation. They are loving and their priority is the welfare of the animals. They stand for what an animal foundation should be.

I volunteered late 2008 - 2010 before moving out of state. Mostly just socializing the kitties, and they are my favorite animal. I had no plans to adopt but in Nov. 2008 I did adopt the most beautiful kitty boy in the world, Pepper. I've had many pets, and loved them all -- but Pepper and later his "cat brother" Buckley have been so precious, such a huge joy and gift in my life.
Having just moved back to LA I am considering volunteering again. The staff is super kind and caring. The place is clean. They stand behind the animals they rescue, 100%, forever. When Pepper was diagnosed with asthma soon after adoption they offered to pay his asthma treatments FOR LIFE. I don't know any organizations that do this.

I started volunteering at the Lange Foundation when my work went to 4 days about 5 years ago. I have gone from volunteering on a Friday to 3 days a week after work and on Sunday. I have enjoyed this experience so much and have met not only some fantastic dogs and cats but some absolutely wonderful people, both staff and fellow volunteers. Lange is known for taking on dogs and cats that have had injuries that normally would be put to sleep at various shelters. I have seen these severely injured dogs and cats transformed into healthy happy pets. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the list at the end of the month listing the dogs and cats that have found their forever home. I have brought 2 home myself....and counting.

I’m another long-time volunteer at the Lange Foundation, having started in 2003, while looking for a new cat. It took me months to find the right fit, and in the meantime I found spending time with the cats there was a big help to them and the staff. So many cats who would otherwise have gone to a high-kill shelter are given a secure pleasant sanctuary and many find wonderful forever homes. This is also true for all the dogs, who enjoy good care and many walks a day with loving volunteers until they find the perfect forever home.

I started volunteering at Lange Foundation about 12 years ago. I am not sure who gets more out it - me or the dogs and cats. I work full time and I always look forward to my weekends when I spend time at Lange Foundation. The life-saving mission of Lange Foundation opened my eyes to the world of animal rescue which is often heart-breaking, but also rewarding and more gratifying than anything I have ever known.

I started volunteer dog-walking for Lange Foundation when I retired 15 years ago. Many dogs later, I still get up every weekday morning looking forward to our walks. The kennel is conveniently located and around the corner from a great walking neighborhood. The staff is focused on the animals (dogs and cats) and they get the best care and attention.

I investigated many animal rescue charities before I decided to spend my time at Lange Foundation. They are without a doubt the best. They really care and they do an amazing job saving and caring for the animals they rescue.
