Mission: The land conservancy of ridgefield, inc. ("the land conservancy"), founded in 1967, preserves and protects, for the general benefit of the public, ridgefield, connecticut's natural resources including land and water resources, the plant and wildlife thereon and unique scenic natural and historic sites.
Programs: One of the primary activities of the land conservancy relates to ongoing stewardship responsibilities. Members of the board conduct annual field reviews of land conservancy properties and easements, at no cost, to insure that their existing condition is found to be consistent with the donors wishes and expectations.
