Programs: Land banking -the land bank twin cities, inc. (lbtc) acquires strategic properties in the seven county metropolitan area on behalf of approved non-profit and socially responsible for-profit developers, non-profit service providers, and governments. Since inception through the end of 2017, lbtc and its related entities had acquired nearly 1,300 properties for $124 million and provided $15 million of discounts to community buyers.
community lending -lbtc's community lending activity consists of several specialized loan programs to advance neighborhood recovery, to preserve and create affordable housing, and generate economic development. As a community development financial institution (cdfi) certified by the u. S. Department of treasury, lbtc and its related entities had made over $81 million in loans for developer projects since its inception.
