We got Xena (then Zoey) from Lamancha. She was a feral dog, captured in Kentucky and like many feral dogs she is very aggressive to other dogs. Apparently, there was a mixup in Lamancha's description, and the text was of another dog. But Xena approached us with no fear, and we were really struck by that, so we adopted her. Truly, we never expected such a weird and wonderful dog. She jumped into our bed the first night and, after a bath, has remained there, quietly cuddling with one of us all night. She is incredibly smart - she's mostly Staffie and a little Lab - and she guards the house. But mostly she's a great companion and we love her. We adopted a puppy after a few months and Xena almost killed him. We kept Thor in a crate and Xena visited, becoming calmer with each successive visit. Now they are best buds, but they do play rough, stopping on command. I was able to adopt Xena after they spoke with my vet who verified that my dogs get anything that they need, Lamancha made the adoption easy, but they were careful. They put Xena welfare first but also observed our interactions with her. I left with a good feeling and a great dog who is now a family member. Lamancha does great work and I'm donating to show the love.
