This particular humane society is in the habit of taking innocent pet lovers to court on frivolous charges, only to receive monies from the court. I personally observed a mentally disabled woman who is presently trying to defend herself in court. Her indoor cat got outside and she couldn't find him until 4 days later. Her cat is 12yrs old. Her cat was always a small size cat. When she found him after being outside for those 4 days, he looked like he was severely beaten up by someone or something. The woman lives on social security and due to financial difficulties, she went to the humane society for help. They told her that the only way they can help him, she would have to sign him over to them, relinquishing any rights to the cat. The next day, the humane society had already euthanized him. This woman cried for 2 wks+ over this. She is a animal lover and always has been. PLEASE think twice before donating money to a nonprofit that has such scamming ways to get their money. Please do not donate to this nonprofit. There are so many good nonprofits out there that will make a better use of your donations.
