Mission: The lake george conservancy exists to protect and preserve the quality of the ecosystems of lake george and its watershed through education, research and procurement of sensitive land by gift or purchase.
Programs: The organizations programs consist of land acquistion in connection with the preservation of the lake george ecosystem. In addition the organization has a eurasian weed control program to limit and reduce the spread of the invasive eurasian mill foll throughout the lake and an education program for children to educate them about the ecosystems, watershed and water quality.
