Mission: Provide decent affordable housing to low income residents of lake county area through the development, subsidzing, or restoration of exisiting housing availiable to lower income individuals.
Programs: Lake county community housings mission is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to lower income residents of lake county montana. The primary program involves the ownership and/or management of 106 units of low-income housing and oversight of programs that provide rental assitance for 98 families. Many of these assisted families live in the organizations housing. The entity directly owns 24 of these units or has an ownership interest through tax credit partnerships or affiliated organization another 58 apartment units. Using the combination of low income housing tax credit, home and usda rural housing subsidies to lower the costs of the units the various rental assistance programs we are able to keep the housing costs to the assisted familes at or below 30 of their income. For the families assisted, keepign housing costs affordable is very important to their abitity to maintain shelter.
