Love Botswana Outreach Mission has a heart to reach the people of Maun, Botswana and the northern region. They work hard with a small number of staff, funding and availability of resources to meet the needs of the people, and to assist them to raise themselves up to a higher level.

I remember when i first came to maun,i felt out of place, till one sunday i was invited to a church service.Little did i know, this was the first meeting of my new family,by then love botswana was still operating in tents ,but this did not stop the unconditional love towards me to be felt .i was greeted with warming hugs and smiles from the staff and instantly i knew i was home .years passed ,i became more and more close to God and love Botswana.this gave me a strong foundation to build my life and shape my future as his love was abundant, i was able to find my self and give my life to christ and the begging of my journey as a child of God ...
Ever since then, i have been living with this great love withing that i have recieved from our lord and love Botswana, till to this day .i can truly say i can not contain nor help it but just share it with those i cross paths with....may God continue giving them the strength they need to continue doing the lords works as i am one of those it really helped in times where i felt lost or out of place ...
I am truly thankful for the opportunity it has provided me to be able to seek the lord and myself at the same time....

Having attended Okavango International School. I had the opportunity to partake in the Love Botswana recreational activities such us Fire by Night, which was held every Friday. This really helped open my communication skills, boost my self esteem and most of all strengthen my relationship with God. The experience within Love Botswana helped changed my perspective towards playing a role to my community and peers.
I have further stretched my skills acquired through them towards working with other NGO’s and giving back to the youth that come after me, and the joy it has brought me has been over the moon. Am so grateful for the people I met through Love Botswana.

I met Love Botswana in February 2020 when I volunteered to lead a strategic planning retreat and immediately knew that I was working with a compassionate and talented organization. The need for their services is so great in the North West District of Botswana and they stretch every dollar and pula to meet as much of the need as possible. One visit to Lorato House Rescue Centre will convince you of why Love Botswana deserves your support!

During our time with Love Botswana we got to serve in so many areas. We served at the Lorato House Rescue Centre, distributed food to people in the local villages, ministered to students in multiple schools, and a few other things as well. All of these ministries are under the umbrella of Love Botswana. A ministry that is changing the nation!

So the second week of June 2022 I was given the privilege to be able to go help the ministry of Love Botswana. While planning to go I thought I would be the one giving the blessing but once there I was the one that received a blessing. I was able to spend time with the children at The Lorato House, go into the younger schools with World Metro Child and even give my testimony to so many of the older children in school..I never imagined feeling so welcomed in another country by some of the most humble people on earth..Thank you to Jerry and Jana Lackey for having me..It definitely won't be my last trip..love you all

Love Botswana's grassrooots programs target real needs of ordinary, underprivilleged communities. They are an ideal.
With the right support to strengthen human resource capacity for programs, and to strengthen administrative and evaluation functions around their programs, they will have an even stronger impact.

Lackey Ministries/Love Botswana started from nothing - from the ground up. Jerry & Jana both had and still have a heart for Africa. They started in a tent & have grown throughout their years. They started an orphanage, church & school. It seems like they have about 10 things going all at once. But besides all of this and why they have succeeded up until now is what is in their hearts. Their daily dedication and love for what they is so evident in all they do. They love God and they love the people. They go to the homeless and bring food (all of the time). Their true reward is in heaven, I have no doubt! We love Jerry & Jana & their ministry! We do not give to a lot of ministries, but we believe & walk besides them because in all they do, they do it for God. It was a true honor for us to be able to visit them a few years ago to witness their fantastic ministry! We look forward to going back - someday!

I have had the privilege to have had first contact with this ministry as a 10 year old girl in their private Christian School, then known as Ngamiland Christian Academy. I was coming in from government school and the transition was for the better. I was a bright student and I excelled academically but I was a troubled child emotionally. My journey with Love Botswana and Lackey Ministries continued as a teenager in Fire by Night, a Friday night youth service that was an alternative to destructive behaviors. This strengthened my relationship with God and helped me in making key decisions in my life. I went to college completed a degree in Accounting, and then went on to Bible School this was of cause through Lackey ministries. After working for a couple of years, I felt that it was time to join the ministry as a staff member. This began as a voluntary position for a year, I am still here honored to be the hands and feet of Jesus to my community through this ministry. I look forward to seeing all that needs to unfold in the coming years with our Nation through Love Botswana Outreach Ministry.

I have been involved with Lackey Ministries/Love Botswana for forty years. It was a privilege and an honor to work with them in Maun, Botswana from 2017 to 2020. The founders of Love Botswana are committed, dedicated, highly motivated visionaries who are constantly reaching out to the local community and communities beyond to empower and enrich them. They are inspired and driven to place their stamp of love and excellence on everything they do. Hundreds of teenagers have passed through Love Botswana over the years bringing love and encouragement to the people their lives touch and those same young people have returned to their various countries forever changed by the beauitul and kind people of Botswana. This non-profit is definitely worth a 5 star rating.

In 2019, we brought a group to Botswana for a yoga retreat. It was important to us to serve our time and our individual, unique abilities while on our yoga retreat. We spent a few days with Love Botswana alongside our recreational part of the trip. We enjoyed our time meeting beautiful leaders/teachers/locals while learning about the mission, the people, and the needs of the community. One full day was spent at Lorato House, the rescue center for children. One day in the life of these children is small, but the time was invaluable to us. We were able to donate our energy to something greater than just a trip of leisure and tours. We gained far more than we could have imagined. We yearn to go back, to do more, and to visit those precious friends we made. I encourage anyone that wants to visit/serve or donate/give - your time and effort will be tenfold with Love Botswana.

The first time my wife and I came to know about Love Botswana was in 2003, at that time we were going through some hardship, hurts and brokenness. Without hesitation the Lackeys received us, not only to become part of the incredible Love Bots team, but also to go through a process of healing, restoration and equipped! Upon being released after two years of great adventure, learning and impartation, I was released to join and work for the government of Botswana, the university and a number of NGOs, locally and internationally. The experience and strength received while in LBOM, enabled me to also serve the church across denominations in East and southern Africa, around Counselling and HIV and AIDS. Fast track the years, its been a year now (2021) since I have rejoined the Love BOM team!! Its a learning curve again, a period of focus and "keeping things that matters the most to matter" As Pastor Jerry (affectionately called by all, just as PJ). I am here now as a student of faith, passion and excellence, some of the virtues and values cherished by the Mission. I am here again, to be part of the great manifestation and move of God (revival) that will hit this nation and impact many nations of the world. Love Botswana has not only helped and prepared me to function in years past to function and excel as a professional all over the world, but continue to impact me ensuring the fulfilment of Gods calling in my life, in another dimension!

I consider myself truly blessed to have been able to grow up in this ministry. Under my parents leadership Jana & Jerry Lackey, I have witnessed first hand the what the love and generosity of supporters overseas is able to do for so many people.

What the ministry has been able to accomplish through Gods faithfulness and the perseverance of my parents and the staff through the years has been able to touch so many lives through the range of outreaches LBOM is active in and have been able to radically change the trajectory of Botswana youth. Cultivating Doctors, Lawyers, Pastors, Caretakers and people that shine through the Fathers love with profound leadership and excellence. All of this was instilled through the teaching they have received through the ministry and the connection they have had to the people who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
I highly recommend, LBOM to be one of the ministry’s that you choose to support!

I started volunteering in the Children's Ministry when I was just a teenager, fast forward almost a decade later I'm now serving as the Public Relations Officer for this incredible organisation. I also have the honour and privilege of reading and editing all the programmes reports and I am always so humbled and equally amazed when I see how people's lives are being touched. Imagine how much of an impact has been made in the past 30 years!

Every time, there's something new and incredible that makes me thank God for being a part of this organisation. I can first and foremost attest to the work that God has put in me through Love Botswana Outreach Mission of "Developing Leaders For Africa." Love Botswana succeeds also because of its values of Faith, Integrity, Relationships, and Excellence. This is true God-ordained work.

Love Botswana, Ministries, Missions, International School - are each excellent examples of the great commission that Christ called each of His followers to in the 28th chapter of the book of Matthew: Matthew 28:19
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” I left a piece of my heart at Love Botswana and I haven't been the same since I left. The Lackey's put me right to work, and they made me feel that my small contributions (electrical wk. & a little preaching) were valued and appreciated. Each of you at Love Botswana Is also valued And appreciated - I still miss you all to this day ... may the Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent one from another Amen.

Where do I begin? Well, in 2015 I was invited to Maun for an Arts Festival that opened up the opportunity for me to interact with the Love Botswana family. I call them a family because of the similarities they portrayed that remind me of my own loving family. During a day dedicate to community outreach, I shared my testimony with the scholars they work with and since then I don't dream of living my life any other way. Love means that we are capable of igniting love in the hearts of others. Love Botswana has that effect. The spirit of volunteerism and compassion is easily transferable. Since my first encounter with these ministers of the Gospel, I have gone back to give what God has placed in my heart. I am honored to have met such greatness in my time. May God bless you to continue doing the blessed work you do and enable you spiritually, mentally and financially.

I have had the great privilege of being associated with this amazing NPO for almost 19 (nineteen years) now. It has been my personal pleasure to work with this amazing NPO and to be inspired by the work that they do. They have a great heart for community engagement and for being relevant and giving back to every community they are connected to. In a world where many are selfish and just living for themselves, they are setting the standard for us all and are a fitting example and role models to be emulated. We are encouraged by this NPO and I do not hesitate to recommend them in any capacity whatsoever. I first got to know about this non- profit when I was doing my thirds year field work placement as a social work student. I was exposed to different cases that really exposed me to the human struggle and the problems at the grassroots levels in rural Botswana. I continued to work with this non-profit when I stared working in a job position at the local hospital Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital. The lackeys ministries under the Love Botswana outreach mission would bring the clients especially from Lorato house which are mostly neglected or disabled children to all their medical appointments and even seeked hep from my office as a clinical social worker for counseling and further referral. This non profit works even beyond their working hours because this line of work has a lot of emergencies.

The organization's desire and ability to raise up leaders in the nation of Botswana is commendable and eye-opening. There are many ways to be involved here, whether it be to work at the International School, work in an administrative position to connect the mission to donors and volunteers stateside, teach women of Maun trades that will help them sustain an income, or teach students of Botswana who want to get into ministry.

I am very thankful for the opportunity I had to work with and support this ministry; I hope others take advantage of any chance they have to partner with them.

We have known the Lackeys for many years, even before they began their outreach to Botswana.
It has been a privilege to serve on their board for several years. This is a mission with heart and integrity. Jerry and Jana are amazing, faithful workers in the Kingdom. They began with nothing and then suffered the loss of everything in a fire. But they serve a faithful God, and the ministry bounced back bigger and stronger. We have visited the Botswana mission only once, but it was one of the highlights of our life. We would gladly return again and again, but my health does not permit. I would encourage anyone considering support or involvement to follow through. And if you ever have a chance to go to Botswana, by all means GO.

Hi my name is Laurie Olson and I volunteered with my church last Oct. 2012. A team of approximately 15 people went to volunteer our services. The Men helped to build decks around some of the housing quarters and the women volunteered in the school and in the Lorado House.

The organization is absolutely phenomenal. The Lorado house takes care of children who have been abandoned and abused. The babies and toddlers are well taken care of. They are shown love and care that I know most have never seen before. They are also taken care of medically by being taken to the Dr. at least once a month I believe for wellness checkups.

Also at Love Botswana is a school for kids k-12. I was able to go in many of the grade levels and watch the teacher/ student interactions. Everyone works hard there but with smiles on their faces.

The founders of Love Botswana Jerry and Jana Lackey are honorable people who work really hard and love what they do. Their goal is to bring freedom, joy and life by strengthening individuals and communities throughout the region. They are accomplishing this through guidance in the areas of education, spiritual care , and economic building. They also work with youth teaching abstinence .

It was a blessing to volunteer with the rescue babies and kids from the school. The Lackeys have a wonderful organization at Love Botswana.

We have visited Love Botswana Outreach Mission with our extended family in 2008. We were very impressed with the ministry and vision of the organization. It is well run by a group of dedicated and hard working staff called to serve God in diverse ways. They have made a difference in the lives of many people in Maun, especially the youth. They have a vibrant youth program and an exceptional international school. They are always creating new programs and finding new ways to serve their community. They are truly trying to impact lives and raise the next generation of Christian leaders in Botswana.

We personally have adopted an amazing young boy and help to keep him in school. Love Botswana does a good job communicating with us and working with his family to improve his life by providing opportunities and not just handouts. I feel our donations are used wisely and carefully to benefit the child and his family. I would highly recommend their Sponsor A Child Program. It is personally rewarding and uplifting to watch faith in motion through the growth and development of a child in need.

I was at Love Botswana this year in April – it was one of the most life transforming trips I've ever experienced. Love Botswana reaches out and ministers to many orphans and the hurting in their community, especially as they have started this baby house on their property to love and nurture children who are unwanted. As well, they have a school where they help to educate children so that they can grow up to be leaders in this beautiful nation – and make a positive change in the world around them. They also help to educate young people spiritually, physically and emotionally, by providing opportunities for them to grow in their gifts and talents, through the new community center they built. The leaders and team surrounding them truly care about people at the deepest level – I was profoundly impressed and wish that whole world and about this wonderful place. The entire property & organization is well rounded, excellent, generous and strategic in every way! For 25 years, Love Botswana has been caring for and meeting the needs of this wonderful area of our world and I know the best is yet to come.

The devotion and sacrifice of Jana & Jerry to serve and make a difference in the children of Maun in Botswana for last 25 years is not only amazing but inspirational. They have been able to upgrade the lives of the less privileged children and make a difference in their respective families.

Their love Botswana foundation continues to serve , expand , reach and give new hope to these children.

I have known and worked with Jana and Jerry Lackey Ministries since the mid-1980’s when Jerry graduated from Lakewood Bible Institute under Pastor John Osteen at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, and Jana graduated from Christ For the Nations in Dallas, Texas. They have one of the greatest missions organizations of our time in Botswana, Africa, a day’s journey from 12 nations. I took my first missions trip to visit them in Botswana in the 1990’s, and took short-term teams from our church there in 2000 and 2003. They work with beginners, intermediate and seasoned missions groups to provide an excellent missions experience, handling all aspects of the logistics from travel to accommodations to food to health and safety measures. I have also worked with them annually in various capacities, and visited with Jana recently in 2013. They have spoken numerous times over the years in our church's monthly missions meetings to encourage others to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. The short-term missions teams I have taken to Botswana have been impacted by their lives and witness, and the lives of the young adults and adults will never be the same in a most positive way. I have encouraged several young people to invest themselves in longer-term missions in Botswana with the Lackey Ministries, including a former roommate, who has spent the past five years in Botswana under their mentorship and discipleship missionary training. I have also seen the miracles of God in salvation and healing, and lives transformed by the power of God. The stories are too numerous to tell, but one young single man who was a part of our team that came out of a homosexual lifestyle was gloriously healed of AIDS in Botswana with no trace of diseased blood today, started dating a young lady from our church, got married, and had a baby girl as a result of his life being changed in Botswana! Jerry and Jana began their ministry almost from scratch, and have built one of the most far-reaching and impactful ministries in Africa. Included in their mission called Love Botswana Outreach Mission, they umbrella many other awesome works such as The Maun Village Church, Love Botswana Bible Institute, Okavango International School, Mercy Ministries for abandoned babies, and are constantly expanding their mission. I have preached the Word, taught the Bible, been a part of various kinds of Evangelism Outreaches, and seen their wonderful facilities at Love Botswana Outreach Mission. Jerry has also learned several of the tribal languages and both he and Jana are great communicators, administrators, and mentors. The Lackeys focus on evangelism, discipleship training, youth abstinence programs, women’s ministry, hospital and prison and other compassion ministries. They also host Camp Meetings, have short-term and long-term missions opportunities, educational missions experiences, internships, Christian safaris and people groups research. They have a true heart for souls, and reach out to win the lost, communicate the Gospel in a simple way tribals can understand, develop Christian communities, demonstrate God’s love, train tribals to reach their own people, and provide basic necessities. They evangelize through the Jesus Film in Tribal Languages, open air meetings, distribution of Gospel literature, regular meetings working through the National Pastors, workers and churches for joint crusades and teaching seminars, implementing fixed tuned radio broadcast for distribution, through their local church, Bible School, Christian Academy, support for national workers, providing outreach supplies, literature and Gospel tools, clothing and medical supplies. They have worked in both populated and remote villages, deserts, swamps and isolated islands, and have experienced the hardships as well as the rewards of a life of pioneer evangelism. They are simply a couple who made themselves available to God, had a vision that still determines their passion, and stepped out and trusted God in an adventure of faith. I highly recommend this ministry to anyone interested in world missions and evangelism. I have only received good reports from this ministry over the years, and would go again myself, take teams, and encourage new missionaries to go and taste the rich, full experience offered by the Lackey Ministries in Botswana. As Chairman & Co Founder of Love Botswana Outreach Mission, It's been a privilege to see the hand of God on what was once a dream in our hearts to where it has grown to today.

The Mission is Real, it's Relevant it's Relational & it's Reaching out in a big and strategic way.

The staff & volunteers of Love Botswana are some of the most dedicated, self sacrificing people I have ever had the honor to work with.

The impact is measurable, the organization is accountable & the results are life changing.

My husband and I co-led a group of teenage volunteers to work at LBOM for approximately one month in 2005. The hearts of the founders of this mission are pure and genuine. I loved listening to them tell how this organization got started. It was out of a pure sense of God's call. My favorite part of our journey there was being able to hand out Operation Christmas Child boxes to literally hundreds of children. The pure excitement from those children who had nothing was incredible. I would love to work with LBOM again in the future in some capacity. They are making a true difference in the lives of the people in Botswana. They show the love of Christ in very parctical ways. I hope one day in my life to be able to make a difference in the same way.

I have not been actively involved with the charity but I have read about its various projects and achievements.

The initiatives that have been started by this Organisation contribute towards the establishment of a 'healthy nation'. According to the World Health Organisation, health is defined as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity" We therefore cannot talk about dealing with the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Botswana or the social injustices without also offering Spiritual and mental well being. Love Botswana therefore plays a pioneering role in the nation of Botswana in that it is one of very few organizations whose mission and objectives shape the societies' entire well being, i.e physical, mental and spiritual.

As a human rights activist I believe that economic development can only be achieved when women are empowered to participate in a country's economic growth and when they are recognized as entrepreneurs in their own right. In light of the aforementioned, Love Botswana's "Maatla a Basadi" (Strength of Women) is a project that is close to my heart.

Being on the other end of the country I have not had full contact with the organisation, but i have seen the rippling effect of it through media publications and from meeting a few people that have played some sort of role in the organisation.

I feel that their projects are sustainable and effective and they should continue to receive the support they receive.

I have known Jana for over 30 years... Even as a kid, her faith was something to be reckoned with. Whether Jerry knows it or not, he was a result of her tenacious faith... Just as I am sure she was a result of his ,as well. Their faith, together, has brought so many to Christ through this mission. I have no doubtable that when they arrive at heaven's doorstep that they will hear,"Welcome home, good and faithful servant."

After being a supporter of this nonprofit ministry for nearly 20 years I finally had the wonderful privilege of visiting them in person. Although I knew of what they were doing from reports over the years, I was overwhelmed to see all that they do and the positive impact they have made on Maun and the beautiful country of Botswana. From the home for abandoned babies to the beautiful Life Centre which they share with the entire community, God's love is being poured out and lives are being transformed. I can't say enough good about Love Botswana Outreach Mission!

Our family has been supporting Love Botswana for almost two decades. We have had the wonderful opportunity to visit and see the work first hand. It is amazing to see how much they do with the resources that come their way. God is using them to touch so many lives and meet so any needs. We have no hesitation giving here annually and more often as we are able.

I am privileged to be the Co-Founder of Love Botswana. If it wasn't for the team of amazing Batswana and international volunteer team we have had around us for all these years Love Botswana would not be where it is today. In a population of of under 2 million in the country, the ripple effects of people's lives being impacted through the many programs LBOM offers are far reaching and measurable. From babies who have been abandoned to the elderly needing shelter, adults being given the opportunity to get an education, partnerships with Government to assist where there are gaps and extensive work and services for children and teens, the work on the ground is being done on a daily basis! Despite the gap in adequate operational funds, the team keeps on pushing through to reach out and help lift the lives of people in the Northwest of Botswana.

We are so grateful to see LBOM localised and will outlive us! Amazing success has been achieved for many years without permanent buildings and through the gifts of people who believe in the vision we now have a home for the programs. Now what is needed is program/ooperational funding.

I can never begin to thank the Lord enough, for ordering my steps to work at Love Botswana Outreach Mission!! The Mission offers a great platform for both christian fundamental principles and economic growth through its various programs that benefit the community of Maun and the surrounding areas. Personally, I grew spiritually as I worked with remarkable men and women, who are passionate about what they do to the glory of the one who sent them. I salute Jerry and Jana Lackey for their dedication and steadfast love for the nation of Botswana! Their love and work remains very dear to my heart.

My wife and i ahve supported Love Botswana for several years. We have loved Jana and Jerry and their children and had them in our home. We knew about Love Botswana, but had never really seen it except on pictures and through the Lackey's words. Visiting in person exceeded all of my expections. The Staff was very professional and kind. The grounds were well taken care of. Jerry and Jana and the mission is well known in Maun and the area and well respected. The Lorato House for abandoned babies and toddlers was very well laid out, clean, and very cheerfully decorated. The babies and the toddlers seemed happy and healthy. The Staff and workers were kind and attentive to the children. We are also very impressed with Love Botswana's outreach programs to children and youth with HIV/Aids education. Botswana has almost lost a generation of people to this disease. Love Botswana's work to bring information and education about this terrible disease to a nation who has been so tragically attacked by this disease is so important and necessary. We are very proud to be associated with Love Botswana and will continue to assist them in any way possible to accomplish their mission in Botswana.

I have had a long time relationship with Jerry and Jana Lackey, they are people of vision and faith. They have a powerful faith in God and a compassionate faith in people. This faith is born out of a deep love for both. They have a unique ability to build lasting relationships with leaders on the highest levels as well as joining hearts and connecting with people of humble circumstances. They and their team have built a legacy which will continue to produce a bountiful harvest in the future. Their life investment has proven to be a valuable asset to Botswana and Africa. It is a joy to count them as friends.

Four of us from Mississippi visited Love Botswana headquarters in late August and got to see first hand all the amazing work being done through the staff and volunteers. We were excited to see the Life Center just about ready to open its doors to the community and are expecting great reports of the impact that facility is sure to have on the whole area. We also were blessed to have been in Maun on Sunday and attend services at the big white tent full of people who love God! God has drawn a wonderful group of people to be part of the church in Maun. We met with various ministry leaders and heard tremendous reports of all the Love Botswana is doing in the community and throughout the nation. The nation of Botswana is being transformed through the word of Love Botswana. We had the priviledge of staying two nights at the Royal Tree Lodge, a safari camp donated to Love Botswana to help finanically support the vision of the ministry. What an amazing place that was. I highly recommend the tree Lodge to anyone looking for a great Sarfsri experience. Service was fantastic! Rick and Robin Eaton
