LRCL has been very helpful in supporting our clients with their immigration processes and also with other legal concerns. Over four years ago I connected with LRCL for the first time to sign up my clients for the legal clinic, I continue to reach out to them because I know they are not only reliable but also committed with the community they serve

Hello! My name is Wilbert Martinez, when I came to this country, looking for help due to a political conflict in my country Nicaragua, and full of fear because my life was in danger, I felt relieved when La Raza Centro Legal heard about my case and decided to help me.

At that time, I did not have the resources or the necessary experience to be able to defend my case before an immigration court. However, La Raza Centro Legal gave me the necessary help.

I am very satisfied that they were able to help me, since we met our goal.

I personally recommend La Raza Centro Legal, since their lawyers, their trainers, paralegals and auxiliary people are very professional, have the necessary experience and, above all, are very kind when offering their help to anyone.

I am very grateful to them and to their donors, sponsors and local government, for making such a wonderful scenario possible and thus being able to help many people like me.

La Raza Centro Legal was started in 1973 by Chicanx law students from the community who recognized that Latinx and Spanish-speaking community members were not receiving critical legal services and representation and there were very few Latinx lawyers from the community that held the proper cultural knowledge and linguistic skills to appropriately represent community members effectively. Now, LRCL is a legacy organization that has served the community for over 50 years and offers immigration legal services including deportation defense, advances and defends the rights of workers, and serves elders and adults with disabilities in an Elder & Disability Law Program. LRCL also serves as a diversity pipeline to keep our promise to diversify the legal profession and ensure that disparities in the profession don't continue to negatively impact marginalized communities historically denied access to justice.
