Mission: The Mission of La Peqa is: To present cultural and educational programs that increase understanding of different cultures and support efforts to build a more just society based on respect for human, social and economic rights for all people; To operate a multi-use cultural center/community gathering place where people of all races and cultures can share the rich and diverse heritages of the Americas and learn about conditions in the U.S., Latin America and the world; To support the work of community organizations that are active in domestic and international social justice issues; To encourage the development of art of all disciplines that keeps alive our cultural roots, our vision of the future and expresses people’s struggles against oppression.
