Mission: La familia's mission is to provide child placement and counseling services in albuquerque, nm. La familia provides multigenerational family and community living skills, coordinates care and helps clients deal effectively with their challenges.
Programs: Treatment foster care program provides family-based training for foster families in new mexico. The program reimburses and supervises families to provide homes for seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
the outpatient services program offers a comprehensive range of outpatient mental health services including: individual, sibling, family, group, equine and marital therapy; psychiatric evaluations and medication management. All services are provided by licensed professional staff and are reimbursable by nm medicaid.
nm cyfd grants - the organization receives federally funded awards from the new mexico children, youth, & families department. The fiesta program plans and coordinates social opportunities, provides a comprehensive lending library of books and videos, provides educational workshops, facilitates support groups and provides training events for families. Other funding is received to prevent child maltreatment among at-risk families, to increase foster parent retention, to increase the number of foster families in nm, to provide placement options for children in cyfd's custody, and to create support to adoptive families and provide them with specific intervention based on the needs of the children in the home.
