Using a careful screening process, labeca now awards a limited number of scholarships to individual young women who are in university or technical training programs. Currently these labeca scholars are located in san pedro sula, honduras & san salvador, el salvador. Through, 2017 scholarships have been provided for over 80 young women in five countries.
La BECA has faithfully provided University scholarship support to Amistad Mission's young Bolivian women, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty and become leaders in their country. Our young women have suffered from extreme poverty and life on the streets but with La BECA's support they are now becoming doctors, teachers, social workers and vetenarians who are committed to giving back to their community.
