My husband had this rare sarcoma (rhabdomyosarcoma) and the treatments are brutal. He had very few healthy days during the first 9 months of treatment. Then he got a clean bill of health and slowly regained some strength and energy. Then he got re-diagnosed. The chemo the second time around was all just a "let's try this and see if it will slow your cancer". Some drugs worked only for a month, and other drugs didn't stop the cancer at all. With a treatment plan like that, we decided to spend any good days that my husband had doing something together as a family. A lot of our time was spent with his siblings and their families, however one sibling lived on the other side of the country. Kylee's Dancing Angels helped us get across the country to visit that family member and the beautiful part of the country over there. Two and half months later, my husband passed away. I am forever grateful for the help of Kylee's Dancing Angels for that amazing last trip we got to take together as a family. And I know my brother-in-law is eternally grateful for that time he got to spend with his brother. It's been a year and a half since that trip we took and my kids (ages 3,6,7) love those memories of traveling with their dad.
