Great group to serve with. Years ago I went on a trip with Kulea to Tanzania. It was wonderful to see how well Kulea team members care for the children in need.

While in Africa, I visited the Kulea Childcare Villages. The babies were healthy, beautiful, and thriving with the help of Kulea. The workers were kind and very knowledgeable.

Hello! My name’s Aaron Brown, I went on several trips to Tanzania/Kenya when I was younger. Over the years, I’ve watched Kulea learn and grow in ways I believe few organizations have.

They’ve learned over the years ways they can make a greater change in East Africa, providing jobs to locals, teaching communities new skills, life saving skills. They teamed up with Maisha Matters and have worked to keep orphans in families rather than in the streets.

They’ve always adapted and are constantly finding the best ways they can help their communities. Kulea is an organization that does true good, and everyone involved is glowing with passion to make our world better than it was yesterday.

During my most recent visit to Kulea in Tanzania we sat in on a presentation to young moms and caregivers given by a mom who had graduated the program and was now able to provide for her family. Like the others she entered the program with a starving infant and no means to provide nutrition for either the baby nor herself. With Kulea's help of formula, food for herself and some start-up funds her daughter flourished; and she learned how to make soap and set up a shop from her home. She kept learning, added self designed body cream and handbags. Her products were professionally packaged and had lovely fragrances. Her sharing that day was a moment of accomplishment for her and an encouragement to other caregivers on the same journey.

I recently visited Kulea Village in Tanzania. The dedication that not only Deborah and Paul have, but also the entire staff towards the children and caretakers was beyond reproach. They know and care for each family like they are there own. They supply formula for babies each week and weigh and measure each one to make sure they are growing as they should. Records are meticulous. They also travel to the homes to check on conditions and often take food. This is not like traveling in your home town - this is back country , sometimes over 4 hours away. They've also helped women set up businesses so that they are able to support themselves. In all, it it an amazing organization that I now highly support...I hope you do the same.

I was fortunate to go on a mission trip in 2014 with Kulea. I was able to help build a wall for their children’s home and meet the two children that my family had sponsored for many years. I enjoyed my time and they’re a great organization.

Kulea Villages is a wonderful nonprofit who is transforming the lives of families in the Dar Se Salaam area. My church from Texas did a mission trip to visit them and experience their weekly routines. They work to sponsor children to go to school, and help place babies back in their families. They provide formula and help to the families in the Maisha Matters program and help caregivers start their own business to be self-sufficient. I praise God for the good work they are doing to transform lives in Kenya and Tanzania. I had a wonderful experience with them!

I have had a chance to work directly with Kulea Villages, Deborah and Paul Magaya and the entire team. They are doing amazing work with sponsored students and babies in Tanzania and Kenya. I have seen the work first hand and would give it more stars if possible. The staff is first class and one 190 babies have been saved through their tireless work.

I have donated to this organization since the beginning and even made a few trips to Tanzania to volunteer for them. I love that they are financially transparent and that they send me updates annually on the children I sponsor. I have seen many positive changes over the years and growth in the organization.

Kulea Villages really works hard to keep our donors informed. I love receiving e-mail and updates about what Kulea Villages is doing. They check on the children and help with their schooling and medical care. I love how they share personal stories by e-mail and also in person at events to help me better understand what they are involved in and how they are helping. I like how I can be involved in raising funds. (The washer tournament) I know they travel and it is neat to give others an opportunity to be involved hands on also.

I started volunteering for Kulea in 2017 after meeting with the founder and executive director, Deborah. After hearing her story and how Kulea was started, I knew I wanted to be involved. I love that she knows every single child in the program. She knows their stories and their goals. In 2019, she uprooted her entire life to move to Tanzania so she could be even more involved with the children's daily lives. She has sacrificed so much to make sure the children get the best care. I am proud to be a part of Kulea because I know that it is changing the lives of those children.

Kulea Childcare Village is a wonderful nonprofit organization that helps orphaned and vulnerable children. They are involved in helping the children by providing them a loving home, suitable clothing, food, education and medical care. At least once a year my heart is full of joy when I read the letters that Duncan and Rama have written to me. It is exciting to hear their gratitude for being supported which gives them the opportunity to grow and enrich their lives in so many different ways.
Would you please help to support the children in Kulea Village?

I travelled to Tanzania with Kulea Childcare Villages in 2018. It was an experience of a lifetime. We interacted with the children who are part of Kulea, and saw firsthand the impact of the ministry on their lives. We also saw and served many impoverished families who are in need of more help. Throughout the trip, Deborah and her team took care of us in every way, and had great knowledge of how to navigate the Tanzanian culture.

I joined Kulea a few years ago as a board member. In that time I have witnessed numerous miracles which have renewed and strengthened my faith in God. This charity has provided opportunities for orphans who would otherwise have had none. I can see God's work in our board meetings, financial meetings and most importantly in the children themselves.

While I have not visited Kulea Villages in person, I have had the chance to interact and learn from the organization's leaders. They live out deep dedication to Kulea, all their youth and the communities they live in. Kulea pushes for new opportunities for youth and stretches to do the most they can with every donation and every day. I admire their zeal and commitment, and I believe Kulea youth grow well from that foundation of strength and care.

My family has been sponsoring two children with this organization for many years, helping with their schooling and daily needs. I also travelled with the organization and worked with them to build a security wall for the home where the children reside. It was a wonderful experience to meet the children I sponsor and see how much this organization is loved by the community it helps. I would recommend this organization to anyone wanting to sponsor a child and to anyone that would like to experience a mission trip to Africa. The people in charge of Kulea are very kind, responsive and fun to travel with!

Kulea Childcare Villages has been a great resource for sponsoring children in Tanzania and Kenya and providing school and safety for these children. My four children have committed to sponsoring a child and they enjoy the letters they receive about their process. I enjoyed helping plan and being a part of the Annual Kulea Washers tournament, even though my team lost badly. :) I appreciate Debra. Her commitment and heart for these children inspire me and her stories give me hope for the future of these children. If you are not a part of Kulea's mission, I encourage you to check them out and to get involved.

Kulea Villages work really hard to keep their donors informed of success stories and needs by sending monthly newsletters, sending prayer team emails, sending letters from the children and also annual prayer cards to each sponsor. Sponsors feel connected through the stories they hear and see through our pictures and social media. They also hear the hearts of the children through their letters sent directly to them.
