Been with Kroger's for 20 years, been off for 5 months. Have a chronic illnesses. Ask for help, have medical bills, car, etc. Turned down, did not meet criteria. Krogers has been going down hill on how they treat employees. It use to be the place to work, not anymore. First time I've ever asked for help in 20 years. I guess it's who you know.
I also tried to get help with my medical bills and I need treatment every week in order to help with my illness that I’m paying out pocket for and with out my shots every week I’ll end up sick off work been employed with Kroger for almost 10 years never asked for help but got turned down I guess it’s ok to work your self to death for this company why have helping hands when you can’t get help I have almost 9,000 in medical bills maybe over

I've worked at Fry's, owned by Kroger, for 11 yrs. My girlfriend and I experienced a house fire that resulted in being permanently displaced from that home and loss of pets and all belonging within the house. Helping Hands denied our request for help with no explanation.

I expected more from the organization and was given the run around. For a dire need, after getting the run around, it takes more than a month, and yet there is no assistance. Although employees are constantly told to ask for donations from Kroger's customers, it takes forever to get some assistance, if any at all. Nancy, who is the contact person for Helping Hands in Atlanta, GA, needs to learn how to be more professional and go above and beyond to investigate when a check is misplaced.

Hi my name is Michelle Bortell and helping hands is a Godsend! I have been with Kroger for only 14 months but fell on hard times when my daughter became ill and took off work (without pay) for a month. I got behind on bills and was looking at loosing everything. I spoke with Mrs. Debra, which was her first day, taking over this program and she was so very helpful! They helped me out and now maybe I can have some peace of mind. God Bless you Mrs. Debra and helping hands. I am forever grateful.

I have never ask for help from anyone or any organization. but another co worker told me about this helping hands through Kroger and I must say they came through for me and my family. got the papers off the website and fill them and took to my job. the manager done his part and fax to H.R. office and the rest is history. thanks to helping hands and all my coworkers who made this happen. yours truly Levolia Franklin.7/2/2017.

hello my name is nikki, I tried getting help through my employer krogers and helping hands in the month of june in my time of need. as you see my husband left i and my boys with an eviction from our home, took all of our money and left us with no food. i was told about helping hands and our store HR was supose to help. instead all i got was the run around and excuses. mean while i seen people getting help through helping hands that was not so urgent. i do not understand as to why i never heard anything, because i am a hard working woman who is just trying to make it with only one income. could someone please explain?
