Mission: To receive donations from alumni and friends of kodaikanal international school ("kis") in india and to manage investments and make grants to fund scholarships and a variety of projects at kis and in the community.
Programs: To support kodaikanal international school (kis), kodai friends international, inc provided grants to kis to:- chapel organ, $4,000 - purchased a refurbished 1902 vogelpohl pipe organ for the kis chapel to replace the broken, but non repairable, pipe organ already in the chapel, the organ greatly enhances the already expansive music program at kis. - student scholarships, $39,675 - this grant allowed two financially needy students to go on an ib history hl field trip to mumbai during the winter holiday. - social experience program, $11,600 - this was a matching grant to aid in the community outreach program of the school. It allowed the students in kis to install an additional 90 smokeless cooking stoves for a total of 180 stoves during the year in the homes of people in the surrounding communities. This improved the health of the family members, especially the wife and mother. - travel grant to music department, - $3,000
