The Knoxville Children's Theatre is a place where children from all socio-economic backgrounds, schools and skills have the opportunity to learn from people who know their craft and love teaching kids. The plays are selected from classic children's literature and adaptations of popular books and movies that kids love. The director is the only adult on the production crew; the actors, lighting/costume designers and stage managers are under 18 and take their roles seriously. No one pays to be in a production or for props, costumes, etc. Their revenue is earned through classes, ticket sales and donations. My family loves KCT and I hope to bring my grandchildren someday.
