As a student borrower at texas university , about 200 point credit score dropped because of incorrect information reported by a student loan servicer, the servicer said it wasn't reporting flawed information and referred me to the credit bureaus .
The point drop in my credit score prevented me from taking steps like moving and buying a car .
But no one seems to help fix it even when I tried so hard to rebuild it.

This organization serves a very important role in advancing education and educational attainment for youth and adults who wish to reengage and gain credentials for the workplace and for further education.

Customized learning and focused knowledge are the basis of Knowledge-First. Students and instructors greet each other saying "Wisdom. Knowledge. Perseverance" From 18 to 80 students are able to gain their Highschool Diploma. That's awesome! I love that teaching logic fundamentals is so important to their classes.

Words cant express my gratitude. The staff at the Knowledge-first Empowerment Academy cares about your well being. I was facing depression because I couldn't get a job, now my testimony has changed. I'm a full time employee thanks to the Knowledge-first team!! You guys rock

This school has been a saving grace to many. It has helped open doors for the young and the old to a brighter future. My best friend got a second change at getting a great education. He obtained his High School Diploma. (NOT GED) after being out of school for over 12 years. He now has a better paying job which he can take care of his family. I am happy to tell my experience with Knowledge-First Empowerment Academy, they have been such a huge asset in helping my child. My child was a student who was struggling with his grades in the public school. Once my student started at Knowledge-First Empowerment Academy the grades immediately improved. As a result of the smaller classes and the ability for my student to work at his own pace his grades improved greatly. Thanks to Knowledge-First Empowerment Academy my student has become a productive member of society.

I was impressed with the general practices of this nonprofit business when I volunteered to work there. Various instructional procedures were offered for students with various learning styles. Concern and ood ommunication with parents, staff, and other employees were evident .

Knowledge First has done a tremendous job over the years in the community helping young people get their high school diplomas. I have know the Director Mr. Allen since college. I have lived in Missouri City over 35 years. I have seen his work with the young people over the years , accomplishing their goals to go back to school, put in the work and reach their goals. I have watched Knowledge First from its days in the Houston suburb of Missouri City and its service to needy people to its move to the Fifth Ward. There, it has taken on the challenge of serving Houston's neediest. This move alone deserves maximum commendation.

I thank God for Knowledge-First! It has really been a blessing to several individuals in my community and surrounding communities. The individuals that worked and received their diplomas through this academy have been saved from a life that was at a dead end. They have went on to better their lives for them and their families, because they were given the opportunity to achieve their High School Diploma through this awesome program.

Knowledge First is one of the premier nonprofit organizations that have help youth all over the city of Houston to obtain a GED or high school diploma. The impact of this organization gives students confidence and perserverence to succeed in life.

Countless "would-be" high school drop outs and those who've made the life changing decision to return back to school and obtain a high school diploma share the same testimony. When asked, the story of experiencing a sense of accomplishment, being the first to graduate high school in the family or being able to pursue a higher education is the general response. Knowledge- First Empowerment Academy has assisted so many in realizing the educational goals that at one time seemed unattainable.

Knowledge-First Empowerment Academy has changed the lives of so many. It is an academy that offers more than an accredited high school diploma, it offers one a second chance for greater opportunities!

My name is Kevin Frick and I am the executive director of Frick's Employment Agency. I have had the pleasure of working with the staff at Knowledge-First. I have found them to be highly professional and dedictated to serving their clients. We have partnered on several employment fairs and employment outreach projects. Even though this is a challenging time to be finding employment, I can always count on Knowledge-First to bring quality components to bear. Many organizations will give you lip service, but you can always count on Knowledge-First and their committment to excellence.

Knowledge-First, lead by Mr. James Allen and a superior number of artistic leaders have brought a extra special body of support to our children and families that are in critical need of training, development and tutoring. Prior to their arrival and involvement there was definitely no creative resource available to our community, absolutely none. The schools had all but stooped and the students in need or development, extra support and creative discovery were all headed into negative homes and no artistic discovery. Not only has Knowledge- First met that need, but many of the organizations are beginning to realize it is programs like Knowledge-First that are missing in their structures and needs to be replicated. Finally, I myself was creatively nurtured through a program like Knowledge- First, I played the drum in a small Christian/Community band and although I never could fully read the music and played by ear, it was the sensitive mentoring and exposure that made a tremendous difference in my life. Today, I take that seriously in realizing that many of our youth have no options and thus the results of, well you should know, if not open up the paper in any large American city. I highly support, applaud and will continue to encourage the work of Knowledge-First, its dynamic instructors and the future of its success in our community. As a ‘Preacher” for the past 30 years, I can only Thank God, that Knowledge-First is on the front lines with us and Thank You for any support, honors, recognition and resources that your organization can provide. As a Board Member, I have been truly inspired and motivated to help carry on the mission of Knowledge-First, Inc. The Director, Mr. James Allen provides a vehicle for all willing participants to contribute his or her strengths to the organization. The promotion of the Arts has been a major initiative at Knowledge-First.

Last summer, I helped with the Summer Camp program. Students enrolled in this program were given a rich variety of experiences, including field trips. The arts & crafts encouraged the children to create and design their own projects. Wonderful environment for children! Highly recommended!

From its' inception, Knowledge-First has never wavered from its' core beliefs and reason for being: All children can learn and deserve to be culturally enriched regardles of thier position in life. Knowledge-First's founder, James Allen, took his experiences as a life-long educator, passion to make a difference, and his own capital to bring Knowledge-First to fruition. Through Knowledge-First's wholistic approach, I have seen individuals that the public school system labeled as discipline problems and learning-challenged evolve into model students. Kudos to this organization for making and difference in our children's lives and, ultimately, everyone's future.

I am extremely appreciative of the artistic opportunities afforded to persons of all ages at the Knowledge-First Empowerment Center. They have steadfastly provided top quality programming to enhance the quality of life for citizens within our community.

The staff of Knowledge First have a unique way of providing individual attention to a room full of youth. The students receive the tools necessary to be successful in life and in school. Students learn to hone academic skills of reading and math through drama, music and chess. Non-traditional methods....that work! Excellent program!

As a volunteer with Knowledge- First Empowerment Center, I have personally observed the care and concern that is given to each individual who enters the facility. Knowledge-First helps provide educaltional, cultural and artistic opportunities and experiences to individuals. While volunteering on several occasions, many clients have stated that the staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and resourceful. Very positive asset in the community.

Knowledge-First has been very instrumental in provding our organization an opportunity to impact the lives of our youth. The participants of the summer fine arts program had a grand time while being exposed to skills that would increase their self-esteem.
