Mission: The mission of the klamath basin rangeland trust is to restore and conserve the quality and quanity of water in the upper klamath basin to enhance the natural ecosystem and to supply needed water for agriculture,ranching, native fish and wildlife populations.
Programs: Klamath basin rangeland trust puts more and better water into upper klamath lake to enhance the triple bottom line of ecology, community, and commerce. In addition to working with agricultural producers to return more water to streams, kbrt restoration projects improved water quality to the benefit of a variety of endangered and threatened fish. In 2014, kbrt continued to return several acre-feet of water to the upper klamath ecosystem while restoring or protecting several miles of river. Kbrt continues to lead local efforts towards a river in balance and native fish populations restored,while maintaining viable agricultural operations and a ranching economy and lifestyle.
