I’m a volunteer at Kittykind, and also an adopter of two Kittykind cats! Ninja and Charley are happy, healthy cats who got a home thanks to the volunteers. Kittykind is one of a few local adoption groups that take cats from local rescuers and from the general public. Ninja was a stray cat who lived outside a housing project, and now he gets to eat fancy food with his good friend.

I took KittyKind to court in 2005 because the President and her "staff" took advantage of me: after using my home as their personal shelter and repeatedly promising me reimbursement for taking their sick cats to my vet(s), they claimed that none of the cats in my apartment was theirs! I never filled out paperwork but had enough proof that a judge believed me though he had to dismiss my case for lack of paperwork. You may find some information and links at pennilesscatlovers.blogspot This happened at the time that their President, Marlene kess was brought to court on 200 counts of animal abuse because of the many dead cats rotting in her backyard in NJ. THe remaining Board claimed the cats were not kittykinds and that I was never authorized to take them to my vet. The one letter authorizing vet care was rescinded while the cat still needed treatment. I have documents that support what I have written and tapes proving conversations they claim were never had. I am still in debt to my vet for over $1,000. I had a website with the whole story but must relaunch it as it was not a permanent site.
