Before December 10,2007 I was not aware of cancer organizations. But on that date my world changed forever with just a couple of words "YOUR CHILD HAS CANCER" after that there was no going back. My child was 3 years old and was diagnosed with stage 5 Wilms tumor. Her cancer had spread to both kidneys, both lungs and her liver. I spent the month of December with my child at CHOP away from my other two children on Christmas morning. It was a challengling 9 months of 5 different chemo drugs, 11 rounds of radation, right kidney removed and a part of her left, blood transfusion, VRE, and many infections. We are one of the blessed families in August 2008 we heard Felicia had no evidence of disease. She had beat her cancer but cancer never goes away. That is when are new journey of cancer began. The second thing the doctors tell you is "cancer effect your whole family and your life will never be the same". My husband lost his business and I lost my job. We then met Sharon Synder who is the owner of Kisses For Kyle. Sharon son Kyle was diagnosed with cancer before his 2nd birthday and lost his battle at the age of 2 1/2. Her mission is to help children families who reside in the Delware Valley by akkeviating some of the massive burden families face during treatment. She also helps families after treatment because she is aware that cancer really never goes away. Sharon organization is ran by volunteers. She works very hard to help everyone that needs her help and goes over and above what one person is capable of. She apprecatiates any help she gets from sponsors and volunteers. Her website is www.kissesforkyle.org please take a minute and she want an amazing job she is doing.
