I LOVE THIS CHARITY! I have loved seeing the faces of the wonderful children when they get new clothes and shoes and backpacks and books. Over 2,000 children are helped each year. I know when I donate to them that 83 cents of every dollar goes back to support the mission.
I have had the honor of volunteering at the annual clothing event where over 2,000 kids in need shop for new, warm winter clothes. It’s a one of a kind experience.
Best charitable non-profit I have ever worked with. They give back so much to the community and to those children that are the most underserved and do this with such a small staff. Amazing non profit.
Incredible cause, great events and a sense of community within the organization. Very well run. I can’t speak more highly of both the team and their cause.
I have loved working with Kids Matter! They are a great organization that really makes sure their funds are used to help children! They have partnered with other organizations as well to reach more children. If you are looking for a great experience I would recommend volunteering or supporting them.
I have been an avid supporter of KMI for years. I believe in their mission of helping kids in need. I have participated in many events they have held for kids and I support them with my funds.
With over a dozen programs and partnerships, Kids Matter has clothed, fed, educated, and enhanced the lives of thousands of children and their families. Thier mission to help children in need is fulfilled each day by our devoted supporters and partners nationwide - That is what is written on Kids Matter's website - what you don't get see it the large devoted hearts in their Board of Directors or any of the amazing volunteers - Kids Matter is an important part of the Dallas Fort Worth area. They allow for volunteers to help kids in need - All 4 of my children have helped with Around the Block - where thousands of underprivileged children and their families are partnered with volunteers to help them select new clothes. The joy I see is not just in the faces of kids in need - but in my own kids as well. They get to help others. My son went off to college this year - and is continuing his volunteer work...What Kids Matter taught him will be paid forward to others for year to come
I fell in love with kids matter the first time I volunteered at their Around the Block event in which they parter with Kohls and others to clothe underprivileged children in the local area. Just seeing the joy on the faces of the children as volunteers help them pick out new clothes (many had never had new ones. Enforce) was priceless!
After becoming more involved with the organization, I can tell you they are an extremely generous, caring group of individuals whose sole purpose is to help the less fortunate. I've seen them reach into their own pocket to help a family going through a rough patch or give a group of children new bikes for the first time. I get a lot more than I give when working with this group......
our family has been involved with Kids Matter since their inception. This is a great group of caring, generous people who truly care about the kids in the community and beyond. It's well organized, and I know our donations are always used wisely.
I have served on the Kids Matter- Around the Block committee for 4 years now and I love every minute of it. Kids Matter teams up with Kohl's to provide winter clothes for underprivileged kids in the community. Working the event and being able to witness the gratefulness the families that are helped feel is truly an amazing thing. Kids Matter International does such amazing work!
I was fortunate enough to meet several of the board members of KMI and subsequently get involved as a volunteer for one of KMI's key fund-raising events. It was a rewarding experience and it allowed me to learn more about the assistance that KMI provides to children in need. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to work with so many generous, kind-hearted people for such a worthwhile cause.
Kids Matter International is committed to helping children in need. I especially like that they help so many within Tarrant County. I have been involved on a volunteer basis for many years and have been moved by their generosity and feel privileged to witness first hand their impact on our communities children.
KMI is an organization that truly loves kids. They clothe, rescue and serve kids in our area and in other countries. The volunteers are loving and devoted, exited to serve.
I have enjoyed volunteering each year at the Kids Matter Around the Block event. Seeing the excitement from the children when they get to shop for their new clothes for the first time is so touching. These children are from our local communities and I am glad to help this charity so they can help those in need.
I currently donate to a handful of charities each year- the ONLY charities I support are the ones that help children in one way or another. It is important to me to choose charities that actually make a difference with the funds they receive. Kids Matter may be a small charity but they make a big impact for their size and that is why I will continue to donate to Kids Matter each year.
I have been an avid supporter of Kids Matter for the past 4 years. I have donated both my time and finances to this organization and their cause to help children in need. For me, I like to see where my charitable donations are going and with Kids Matter I get to directly see my donations at work to help children. It warms my heart to know that I can impact the lives of children here in North Texas.
This is an excellent organization that does so much for kids in need in our community. Kids Matter was recognized as the charity of the year by Southlake Chamber of Commerce and has been recognized numerous times in various magazines and community newspapers. I have donated to this organization for many years and have seen firsthand the positive impact their programs have on children in need.
Kids Matter is an amazing organization supporting children in crisis within our communities.
There are many programs supported by Kids Matter such as Heart of a Champion, summer lunch programs for children, literacy programs, and one of my favorites, Around the Block.
Around the Block is a clothing program for children in need. In 2014, over 1500 children, at Kohls locations in Fort Worth and Southlake, received clothing, shoes, backpacks, books, laptop desks and a meal.
All of this is made possible due to the generosity of our partners...Kohls, Buckner Foundation, Ryan Palmer Foundation, Barbara Bush for Literacy Foundation, The Pro Players Association and Boston's Pizza Foundation, and over 600 volunteers.
All you need do is ask a volunteer, or family who has received help from Kids Matter; they will tell you what this organization is truly about and how much it helps children and families.
I have been a volunteer and have worked closely with the board of directors for over 6 years. I have been more than impressed with this organization because they do what is right for kids. KMI was named the volunteer organization of year by the Southlake Chamber of Commerce and have been recognized many times for the work they do for children in our community and throughout the US. It is an organization well worth your time in volunteering and to donate to as it supports many, many worthwhile programs.
Steer clear of this organization. They have one big project that cloths local children which is good, the rest is fund raising, problem is where is all that money going? Ask questions, check into financials (really check) and check into leadership salaries vs percentages spent on projects .
Being part of the Kids Matter International Family is a highlight of who i am. In fact, it is who my family is...we identify as part of KMI. Their clothing Program "AROUND THE BLOCK" has been our baby and we have been blessed to clothe literally, thousands!! of Children in the years that KMI has adopted and taken this annual event over. The KMI Family is made up of Board Members, volunteers, strategic partners, Donors and recipients....all have given in their own way...TIME, TALENT and TREASURE are terms we mostly use...but the greatest Term that should be used is LOVE...the KMI Family is about giving and receiving and I promise you the LOVE i have received over the years from those we have been able to assist far exceeds that which we have given. If you want some of this ya just gotta experience it...Come to this years "AROUND THE BLOCK" and experience it for yourself.
