Programs: Kids in distress serves thousands of children and their families annually through services that are dedicated to prevent child abuse and the preservation of the families. Programs include kid first (family intervention, response and support team) program, healthy start, healthy families, kinship and homebuilders.

kids in distress serves thousands of children and their families annually through programs designed for the preservation of the families. These programs include summer camp and after school programming and the kid preschool plus program.

kids in distress serves hundreds of children annually who have been affected by abuse and neglect and who require care and treatment to cope with the trauma associated with this victimization. Kid provides safe placement for these children in our family foster homes located in our broward campus and through our foster care program, and clinical intervention through our family counseling center adoption support program. Additionally, kid provides remedial intervention for the parents of these children through our reunification services.

h. E. A. R. T. Is a nationwide, 5-year study with the goal of finding new ways to provide services to families at-risk for homelessness and involved in the child welfare system. Funded by the u. S. Department of health and human services administration for children and families, each study site was given $1 million per year to fund the project. Kid was one of only five agencies across the nation to be selected to participate in this prestigious study.
